My old standby. Cheap but awesome. Almost no head even when poured hard, but what a robust, refreshing taste, and the color is something to admire. Almost as good room-temp from the bottle as it is cold from a glass.

Pours gold in color not much amber with a tall white head. Smells rich of corn typical of a light beer, bits of sweet grain. High carbonation and light bodied. The beer is overall smooth and crisp easy to drink.

Poured from a ~44°F refrigerator.

Tall white head, thick and creamy looking, with excellent retention, leaving a pock-marked surface as it does recede with thick lacing. Clear golden-amber body with good carbonation visible.

Sweet caramel and malty, slightly roasted aroma.

Plenty of flavor for a budget-priced beer. Caramel and toasty. Barley malt backbone.

The initial flavor is somewhat sweet, balanced with a crispness. Some hops bittering, and a touch of hay in the middle, leading to a slightly bitter, slightly sweet finish. The aftertaste is pleasant and sweet, but with a bit of a crisp, lightly bitter character lingering in my mouth, inviting another sip. As the beer warms, it develops a tartness in the finish.

The body is on the thin side, but not at all “watery”. Feel is bitter-sweet tending toward (but not quite reaching) crisp, with moderate carbonation.

As I finish the beer, I am left with a very attractively laced glass from top to bottom.

This is quite good, for a cheap amber lager. Good flavor and enjoyable on a summer day. While it won’t be a regular in my refrigerator, I certainly would pick this out happily from an AAL-filled cooler.

Pours golden amber in color with a tall white head. Smells rich of corn, not much else, little bit of sweet grain. Taste follows the nose, mainly corn. High carbonation, light bodied, smooth, crisp, crushable… Nice beer to session.

16oz can best before date Sept 7, 2021 into a 16oz pint glass.
L: Pours clean bronze/amber with an off-white 1" med-fluffy head. Well carbonated. Head dissipates to thin. Minimal lacing.
S: Malty and a bit earthy. Not much fragrance or aroma. Rather simple.
T: Hop snap, light caramel corn, not too sweet, a good malt wave, a hint of bread dough. Very evenly spaced and balanced flavors. Dry and tart at the finish. Soft caramel is the ghost in this machine.
F: It has a bright, snappy medium light-bodied mouth feel with a malty halo and is well carbonated with a fairly dry finish. Very refreshing and accessible flavors. It drinks quite easily for the 4.7%ABV. The price is unbeatable for the quality and drinkability of this beer. Brilliant!!

16oz can stamped 07/29/21 poured into mug at fridge temp, no ABV listed on can. The beer pours bright amber in color with off white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and single layer of bubbles. Good lacing. The aroma is grainy, with earthy & toasted malt notes. The taste is barely tart with toasted malt, corn and a quick, clean barely bitter finish. The mouthfeel is thin bodied with average carbonation and a dry finish. Very clean. Overall, good. Very bright and refreshing red lager.

Appearance: Pours a clear, mix between a deep orange and light amber color. Mostly deep orange though with a rather thick white head. (4.00)

Aroma: Moderate aromas of smooth red fruit and cream sweetness. (3.75)

Flavor: Flavor follows with more red fruit, cherry, red apple, plum with a bit of pie, whip cream, and cream ale sweetness. Yet, it finishes dry which is impressive due to the lighter body. (4.00)

Feel: Body is light. Carbonation is moderate. Finishes rather dry for the red cream flavor. Leaves you wanting another sip on the palate. (4.00)

Compared to Bad Weather Windvane Red IPA 11/2/20: Pours a lighter color. More malty aromas/flavors. More red and amber too. Yet, it's lighter, dryer, and much cleaner.

Compared to Castle Cream Ale 11/2/20: Pours a slightly darker color. More dry redfruit aromas/flavors. Less sweet cream. Lighter bodied and dryer, yet more ruby red.

Overall: Great red fruit and creamy flavors while maintaining quite a dry and easy-drinking beer. This drinks like an Amber lager. This is what I would picture drinking during the cold autumn when you want to pound a beer, but don't want the volume of a sweet and darkened beer. Sort of like an Amber version of a Guinness. This one has an impressive flavor given the light body. (Final Rating: 3.94)
