Pours crystal clear honey gold yellow with a thick white head that drops away quickly leaving spotty lacing. Aroma is citrus and biscuits. Flavor follows the nose, fairly sweet up front with just a hint of grassy hops. Feel is light bodied and low in carbonation. Overall, pretty good for what it is, needs more carbonation for my tastes.

12oz bottle. Poured out a very clear, golden color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of grapefruit soda. It had a very strong grapefruit taste with a little tartness.

This beer pours a very light, clear golden color. The head was minimal, but white, and what was there was not long lasting.
The nose is very strong with grapefruit.
Taste - a bit mellow up front, then the grapefruit kicks in on the backside. There's also a sweetness to the backside.
Feel is light bodied, as expected, but it isn't watery at all.
Delicious radler to enjoy on a nice hot, humid day.

This beer pours a clear yellow with a moderate head. The aroma features notes of raw grain, bread dough, and grapefruit peel. The flavor starts with a touch of tartness, and then immediately moves to very sweet grapefruit fleh, a bit like a tamer squirt, and finishes with a raw grain feel. The mouthfeel is very light with bright, bold fizz. Overall this a decent beer, with a definite grainy quality, but a touch too sweet for my liking.

12oz bottle with a date
Good head that fades, no lacing. Smell is red grapefruit and grain. This is a very sweet, overly fruit flavored beer. Whether or not that's a good thing will be up to personal preference. For me this beer serves its purpose as something to drink in the middle of an abnormally warm late september day. Would also make a great introduction to craft beer for somebody.

L: brilliant straw permeated with streams of rapidly rising bubbles under a thin white foam cap with fair to poor retention.
S: fruit and uncooked flour with a faint scent of spicy hops.
T: Grapefruit dominates the flavors but it still allows a mild to medium hop accent to show through. The malt stays in the background. It finishes citrusy with grapefruit and a mild bitterness.
F: The beer is light and highly carbonated.
O: It comes close to straddling the boundary between beer and not beer.

this was a miss for me, intended as a grapefruit radler, its definitely a little syrupy and artificial tasting on the grapefruit, but for me what hurt it the most is the residual sugar in combination with the lack of effervescent carbonation, its just not as refreshing as the style is supposed to be, even with the low abv and minimal "beer" qualities. it tastes like a dosed version of the normal grain belt, far from what i was looking for in this one, and miles away from the best radlers in the game. the grapefruit flavor isnt bad, its proportion is right, but its a little sweet to say the least, it just loses its refreshment value because of it. i always find it hard to believe these guys can be responsible for that amazing series of berliner variants, and then still put out a beer that borders on not even being craft like this one, its just beyond me. still, i see value in this for folks new to beer, or drinkers of adjunct lager looks to expand their horizons a bit. we still need those kinds of beers out there, and for that purpose this is as good as any, but not my cup of tea.
