Notes: Weighing in at 9.3%, Boss Tweed is a double New England IPA with an aroma of peach, mango, tangerine. A nice pilsner malt backbone with a touch of Vienna provides balance and a lingering sweetness on the back end.

I like this beer better than M-43.. there...I said it...

It's a super juicy DIPA that brings the booze at 9.3%. You can tell a little bit as you're sipping. Its not necessarily boozy but you definitely get the alcohol.

While loaded with hops, I don't know that I would consider this a can't miss offering. Yes I rated it a 4.25 because it's good...really tasty.. its not a world class beer but it's a good one...

You need to try it if you havent....

Looks like my morning glass of Dole's Orange/Peach/Mango juice that I have in the morning, biggest difference is my juice doesn't get a head, this doesn't get much of one. Snot machine gets a bit of stone fruit, melon, the "buds" get than maybe a bit of pine. Medium bodied, not a whole lotta carbonation here. Another one and done from Old Nation.

Description: Appearance is hazy, the color that you want your mimosa to look like; a light, pale orange

Even with a harder pour, the head doesn’t last long and is fluffy and aromatic of stone fruit and pine.

Initial taste is fruity and the finish is dank with some bitterness.

Mouthfeel is pretty light on carbonation, expected smoothness of a hazy despite the high ABV.

Overall: 4.5 …. An awesome fruity, but not sweet, double NE IPA

16oz can. Poured out a very cloudy, golden orange color with a good-sized, two-finger head of off white foam. It left sticky rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of orange, guava, peach and sweet caramel. Great tropical fruit punch of flavor with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

Description: Appearance is very hazy, almost like apple cider but slightly lighter in color. There's a fluffy, white head on the initial pour but it dissipates quickly. Smell is clean and fresh with notes of fruit, pine and dankness. The medley is no surprise given the beer's several hop varieties and everything blends together nicely. Taste is bold, fruity and dank with a somewhat bitter, citrus finish. The flavors are bold but, like the aroma, everything works together. Feel is medium to heavy and more smooth than carbonated.

Overall: 4.25 (This beer is good and I would likely drink it again) This is a good and borderline very good beer. The flavors and aromas a big and diverse, but still distinct and not muddled. A good specimen of a fruity, NEIPA.

A finger's worth of slightly late to develop light khaki colored growth with decent retention... Color is a slightly hazed light amber... Nose is a vibrant sweet citrus... More complexity on the palate with the addition of a dank earthiness at the forefront followed by the aforementioned citrus... Mouthfeel is medium and lush to start which turns into a dry chalky finish as the booziness rises... Interesting and artistic expression loaded with layers on complexity that wants you another sip...

What a treat. Only negative is the floating sediment ( yes, I pored it correctly). But that would never deter me from pick up a four pack. Their tasting room is also great.

meh. Decent high ABV that is hidden well. But for $4.00 a can. I can't see myself buying another pack.

BOSS PKGD ON 01/26/22 stamped on bottom of can. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.

A: Hazy light amber with 2-finger foamy off-white head with below-average retention and very scant lacing.

S: Aroma jumps out of the glass with pineapple, lemon-lime, white grapefruit, and guava but also has a hint of herbal lemongrass darkness. Esters are fruity-floral and moderate in intensity.

T: Very good but somewhat sweet for style and ABV but very pleasing with the same lemon-lime, pineapple, grapefruit, and passion fruit with an herbal grassy darkness in the finish and aftertaste. Esters are medium at most and fruity > floral but both are there. There is even a bit of pale malt toastiness in the aftertaste as it warms. Alcohol is not bashful and bitterness is medium.

M: Body is medium-high but manageable with slight chalkiness and carbonation seems moderate which helps to provide a little bit of dryness in the finish.

O: I enjoyed Boss Tweed double NEIPA quite a bit — I wish the flavor had a little more intensity but overall this was a high ABV with a lot of fruit in the aroma and flavor and mellow feel.

From a week-old can, pours a hazy deep orange. Nice finger of white foam. Smell is amazing, with layers of citrus, tropical fruit and pine resin transitioning into the Citra musky earthy herbs. Taste follows. Just a killer beer.

A: Pours up an opaque, golden amber, with a one and a half finger, soapy white head.
S: Notes of pine, orange cream, vanilla, pineapple.

T: Pilsner malt and Vienna malt are surprisingly noticeable immediately, with a pleasant sweetness followed by the typical rush of juice, but with a pleasant balancing bitterness and a slight bit of tartness in the finish.
M: A creamy mouthfeel that is just right.
O: This is not a style I really love, so I’m trying to compensate for that in my thoughts here. This is a good and a tad different take on the style to my taste. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think it’s so different that a haze head wouldn’t be happy, but the malt is noticeable and the bitterness is a bit more pronounced so I think it has distinction there. Not bad at all.

Nice pour, just the right type of hazy appearance with decent foaming. New school hop salad aroma, pineapple and guava and a squeeze of tangerine juice. The tangerine juice comes across up front on the palate too. No sign of the ABV. Easy drinking, in spite of the strength.

Best beer I’ve ever had the pleasure of drinking. I’ve been to Treehouse brewery in Massachusetts three times. Treehouse has tremendous NEIPAS, but nothing I’ve tried there can top Boss Tweed. I feel blessed to be living in Michigan, only 45 miles from the Old Nation Brewery.

Poured a pulpy orange color with minimal head and lace around glass. A good citric and malty aroma with plenty of fruits like tangerine and/or white grapefruit. Thick and sweet beer that is a slow sipper with a pineapple and citric sharpness blended in; this beer is thick and juicy with good sweetness and balance as still get a little citric bite on finish and well-hidden ABV.

Boss Tweed is a flavorful yet easier drinking double IPA that is on the sweeter side for the style but still nicely balanced. The malt give this a bit of an old-school IPA feel, and the blend of hops lent the beer a nice fruity complexity.

Around two and a half months old. Poured into a snulip style glass.

L: 4.25 Deep orange. Thin white head.
S: 3.75. Fruity but I expected more of a dank hop pop. Maybe it would be different fresher. There is a slight sherry/papery scent. Likely some degradation.
T: 4.75. Doesn't disappoint. Fruity up front fading into a glorious bitterness. Nice malt character.
F: 3.75 slow drink. Medium to thick mouthfeel.
O: 4.25. I've seen this around and was afraid of the price point. Decided to try it out and I feel I got my money's worth.
