Rating #1500, and what a beer to do it with! From the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.

Pours a murky dark orange with a thick cap of foam.

Smell is slightly more muted than I expected. Still presents huge dollops of mango puree, citrus and orange sorbet.

Taste explodes on your tongue with all sorts of tropical juiciness. Mango, orange and a slight tartness leads into a massive, but perfectly balanced bitterness and hop bite. Just about perfect, and there is NO hint of the 9.3 %. A benchmark for a NE DIPA.

Mouthfeel is medium to full, soft and pillowy with nice carbonation.

Overall, this is just world class, and easily top 3 of all NE IPAs I've had. Superb.

You know that point in the cartoon where the guy sees the girl, and his eyes turn into hearts and his mouth hits the floor? Forget Ana de Paula, forget Barbara Palvin, and forget Sarah Sampaio; and the moment, this is the only thing Raul adores. I mean, can I? Can I even describe this hazed out beauty? The thang glows a gentle tropical haze like Paul McCartney’s brainwaves during his first acid trip. Aroma should be damn near illegal. I popped the can and it exploded like a tropical grenade. Boom! Taste is more radical than Lennon leading a revolution. I mean, this thing blows up with hops and equator fruits like Magellan getting lost in The Bermuda Triangle.

I am at a loss, I am found, and I am reborn again. Boss Tweed, you bad boy, don’t ever leave me.

Opaque honey-orange with a dense, uniform white foam.

Boy oh boy this one smells tooty fruity with tons of bright and citric orange and lemon, and even cherry, with some pine, weed, and mint.

Taste is sweet and syrupy, with orange and cherry coming out prominently. Honestly, it's damn near coming across as a fruit beer, and it's definitely throwing me off.

Feel is a little watery but still crisp.

4.5 across the board. A really nice representation. Pours a murky deep orange with a slight off white head. Nose is fruity. Aromas of tropical fruits and stone fruit. Taste is a beautiful thing. Sweet pineapple, lemon zest, ripe melon and fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. Enough doughy malt to break up the fruitiness. Medium to full body slightly thick and creamy mouthfeel. Hoppy non bitter finish. I dig it!

Appearance - Pours completely opaque turbid yellow color with a huge soapy white head that leaves lost of sticky lacing all around the glass.

Aroma - Tons of candied tropical fruit mango, pineapple, passionfruit. There is a very light pine earthy aroma along with a nice bitter grapefruit presence.

Taste - Great balance of juicy ripe tropical fruit and fresh hops and pine. The juice comes up front and the dry bitter finish transitions so smoothly.

Feel - Full bodied creamy smooth it's is like drinking juice. great dry bitter finish.

Overall - Just a great example of a NEIPA, juicy but not overly sweet great balance and no sign of the high ABV.

Old Nation's best work yet. This NE DIPA has all the qualities you would expect from Trillium, Bissell, Other Half, etc; citrus punch, pillowy mouthfeel and a pleasant hop bitterness on the backend.

I thought I was in love with their M43 but this just changed all that.

Pours a murky citrus punch color with a half finger white head that is gone in a flash,a somewhat menacing look.Tropical fruits and fresh cut grass jump out in the nose,a little sweet onion is there as well,no sharpness or much of a malty presence.Juicy and sweet like candy on the palate, grilled pineapple and mango with a bit of grapefruit rind presence in the back end.A think low carbonated feel makes it go down easy as well.Worthy of it's rating not a run of the mill NE style IPA.

Pour: deep golden color. No light gets through. Plenty of hazy sediment. Decent 2 finger head that leaves very slight lacing.

Nose: grapefruit, grapefruit, pineapple, upfront. Some floral, maybe lavender. Didn’t seem as strong as m-43 which doesn’t make sense. Maybe just my nose today.

Taste: pineapple juice, grapefruit, hop bitters up front and on back end. Some orange. All are big and bold. Champagne like flavor comes through; like a creamy mimosa. Maybe the wheat and oat malts impart the creaminess.

Mouthfeel: fairly heavy carbonation but feels right. Juicy but surprisingly crisp. Pillowy but clean. Contradictions abound but everything works really well together. I could enjoy this next to a fire or on a beach.

Overall: like M-43, this is really good. The two are very similar but the extra dry hopping comes through. Slightly more bitter but entirely enjoyable. A go to beer anytime.

Was just thinking this would be really interesting finished in a rum barrel. Oddsides did this with a pineapple beer a while back; Scallywag, I think.

Intersting beer; slight funk to nosw. Juciness on front of palate, changes to slight bitterness -- gently lingers-- balanced and different. 4/27/18

It looks like murky river water with light brown to dark copper and an exceptionally hazy complexion that let's minimal light through. There's a quarter inch of off white on top. It smells like orange juice with hints of pineapple. I'm tasting citrus, pineapple, mango, and pear. The mouth is smooth and it finishes bitter.

From tasting notes 03/02/18
Had on-tap at Old Nation Brewing in Williamston, MI

Appearance - Served in a 12oz snifter, opaque and dull orange in color with a thin, broken layer of suds. Minimal lacing, with thin, broken webbing and tiny spots.

Smell - The aroma is incredibly juicy, with orange, grapefruit, pineapple, mango and a hint of dank, making for an inviting drink.

Taste - Follows the nose; the taste is a pure juice bomb. Upfront is orange with lesser grapefruit and a strong, bitey pineapple character. Some tropical notes of guava and mango cone through mid-taste, leaving a bittersweet finish with citrus pith and tropical bitterness lingering long into the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel - On the lighter side of full-bodied with moderate, tingly carbonation. Smooth but firm and velvety texture. Goes down beautifully.

Overall - One hell of a hazy DIPA; one of the better ones I've had. I'd love to do a side-by-side with this and something like Dojo. If I can find a 4 pack maybe I'll get the chance.
