16oz can from LambicPentameter (thank you!). Canned 4/17/18. Served in an oversized Bruery snifter. Enjoyed 5/24/18.

Pours a completely opaque, dull pale yellow with just about two fingers of fluffy white head. The bubbles fade, leaving a few small islands and thin band but no lace.

Smells juicy and fruity. Tons of strawberry up front, followed by orange, melon and a little bit of cake.

Interesting flavor. As in the nose the strawberry is clearly defined. Orange juice, vague melon, a little mild tea, honeysuckle and some cakey malt.

Soft, medium feel with gentle carbonation. The lingering finish has a lot more strawberry as well as orange melon pound cake.

The crew at Old Nation certainly know how to whip up a delicious IPA. This is a fun play on M43. I don’t think I can call it tart but there is a while lotof strawberry at play here. A tasty hop treat for sure that I’m quite happy to have tried but honestly I prefer the base.

This one was surprisingly good. There is something about that strawberry extract that adds a nice dimension to the beer.

Overall, I enjoyed this more than the regular M-43. That could also be due to us getting spoiled here in MI with M-43 available almost 24/7 this last 6 months.

Either way, seek this one out. Its a excellent way to see what these so called "aroma extracts" can do to a beer.

Canned 4/17/18; drank 4/26/18 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque, murky, dull orange rust appearance.

Not very pretty.

A rough pour yielded a big off-white head; nice, frothy lace.

Strawberry shortcake & faint wheat notes in the nose.

Soft, medium mouthfeel.

Tangy strawberry & soft wheat flavors up front; mild orange citrus notes on the finish.

A stunning fruit bomb. Not sure what to say; I wish I had a case.

I don't know how I'm going to fill 150 characters, but here's the deal: it's M-43. With a tart strawberry flavor. Do you enjoy M-43? Like strawberries at least a little? You'll like this one. Is it worth some of the craziness and lines surrounding it? Nope. Is it good? Yup.

Canned 4-16-19, just got bitterness and tart. Will have to revisit with a fresh can this is way past its prime I think.

NEIPA pour: very hazy pale yellow with a small head.

Smells surprisingly great. Mildly tart, but mostly soft and delicate strawberries along with some contemporary fruit hops. The combination is quite nice.

Tastes like it smells: immensely smooth strawberry juice throughout, which does a fantastic job of dulling the sharp tartness of the yeast and serves as a nice counterbalance to the higher alpha sweetness of the hops. It's not the same thing as a malt balance, but unlike most brewers making NEIPAs they are at least trying for balance. And they succeed really well.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 4/17/2018. Pours opaquely hazy golden orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy strawberries, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit, white bread dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, strawberry, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge juicy/lightly tart/tangy strawberries, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit, white bread dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very mild pine, grassy, citrus peel bitterness; and fruit tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of juicy strawberries, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, strawberry, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a fantastic malt/bitterness and fruit tartness balance; with zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and fruit tartness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky/acidic mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.8%. Overall this is an amazing flavored NE IPA. All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, strawberry, and moderate bready malt flavors; extremely smooth and easy to drink with the minimally bitter/drying finish. Amazingly soft spot on mouthfeel for the style. Extremely juicy/lightly dank hops with awesome balance of strawberry flavorings. Perfect malt balance and not overly sweet/heavy for the style. Can't say I prefer it over the base beer. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example as expected.

Poured from a 16oz can into a willi pint glass.

Pours a super hazy dullish orange body with a two finger white head that reduces to a layer of foam and spotty lacing.

Aromas are pretty strawberry forward with a bit of citrus and light zesty peppery hops.

Taste is heavy strawberry, lightly tart and a tad sweet, tropical with mango and citrus on the follow through. Aftertaste is strawberry juice with very little bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and easy drinking, low carb.

Nose on this is amazing!
Flavor profile is insane.
Slight tart sourness. Followed by mellow strawberry flavors that open up to a juicy hop blast. Mild carbonation. Medium mouthfeel. With a slight dryness.

A - Pours a murky golden orange with a one finger creamy white head. The head dissapates quickly leaving some light soapy lacing.

S - Aroma is tart and strawberries, pineapple and orange.

T - The taste is sweet and tart, orange, pineapple and light resinous hops.

M - Medium body with medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with a crisp dry finish.

O - A nice M-43 variant. The strawberry is definetly the star of the show. Not as great as the original but a worth addition to the Old Nation lineup.
