16oz can from Tavour. Hazy golden pour, thin, silky white head. Gentle fruity aroma, citrus, biscuits. Taste is a devious blend of bready malts and soft citrus notes. Creamy, smooth, crushable. Nice!

Deep orange in color. Head is thick and frothy. Nose is citrus. Taste is slightly citrus and then the bitterness hits the palate. Well done with adding the double dry hop.

16oz can, dated 08.16.2022, poured into a 16oz tumbler glass.

The beer pours a very hazy and cloudy golden orange color, honey and straw hues with a tight finger of foamy white head, good retention and excellent lacing. The aroma is very pleasant, super dank, earthy, green, floral, tropical punch, lots of orange citrus and pineapple juice with some tangy rind, sweet yeast and pale dough. The flavors are great, tangy and tropical, bright and citrus forward, layers of pineapple and orange, dank weed, wildflower, light berry fruit, bitter pine, pale dough and mineral water. The mouthfeel is good, coating and crisp, lively medium body that finishes easily with a dry bite.

Verdict: A really nice IPA from Old Nation. Bright, dank, fresh. Everything you're looking for in a NEIPA. The alcohol is well masked and the flavors really pop, nice underlying bitterness helps this from becoming overly sweet.

Some folks live by the saying that "Less Is More". Old Nation brewers are not among that group. Believing that more is more is what leads them to double down on the Calypso, Simcoe, Amarillo and Citra hops in a double dry-hopped version of the IPA that put the brewery on the craft beer map.

Doulbe Dry Hopped M-43 pours turbidly of pale taupe and straw while building a dense blanket of clean white foam. As its rife, radiant and robust hop scent spills onto the nose, the hop juices scream citrus, herb and melon in a most citronella kind of way. Deliciously creamy and sweet, a full cereal character of shortcake, honeysuckle and orange blossom greet the palate first and foremost.

With the sweetness reluctant to release from the palate, the tastebuds are greeted also with a bounty of hops that eventually overshadow the cereal malts with white grapefruit, orange peel and lemon peel. Green and slightly under ripe in its character, the flavors of passionfruit, young mango and gooseberry all add a tropical complement to the fruity hop impressions. Smoothly bitter and extending into the late palate with verbena, sassafras, green tea and fresh spruce, and herbal closure is expected.

Medium-full, creamy and plump with malt, the beer finishes bitter-sweet with a mild drying character that highlights the hop and alcohol combination with a sense of botanical gin, citronella, chive and hemp in a medium-long aftertaste.

Hands down, one if the best beers on the market.
Look- a beautiful light orange juicy haze
Smell- floral, citrus, hint of pine
Taste- excels in all flavors while still being light and drinkable.
Feel- will leave you wishing they made it in 30 packs.
Go get this beer. A must try if you love the new wave of ipas

Yellow to gold in color with a very hazy complexion. There’s a half inch of frothy and dense off white on top. Moderate, soapy lacing is present. The aroma is of earthy to dank catty hops with a touch of melon. I’m tasting earthy to melon hops with perhaps some overripe pineapple. The mouth is very smooth and refreshing.

Had on tap. Hazy yellow pour with a white cap and delicate lacing. Huge tropical fruits and dry hops dominate the smell and taste, especially mango, papaya, starfruit, melon and grapefruit. Taste has lemon join grapefruit as an emerging citrus, dry hop finish is soft. Very juicy overall, some more bitterness would help I think, but very good and crushable as is. Not as good as the original. Feel is juicy too, bright, medium bodied, and smooth with a soft dry finish.

Canned 2/18/22; drank 3/13/22 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque dull orange/yellow appearance.

A violent pour yielded a big off-white head; frothy lace.

Lemon peel, dry wheat & faint table sugar notes in the nose.

Creamy, medium mouthfeel.

Lemon, cream & dry wheat flavors.

Decent NE IPA vibes, but this ain't special.

The color is golden honey gold bar golden orange. The smell is a bouquet of tropical fruit flavors. Juicy mango, lemon, honeydew, apple, and orange. The taste is so juicy and flavorful. Mango, orange, lemon, grapefruit, with a light hop bite. The mouthfeel is juicy, smooth, light, and minimally carbonated. Overall, this is exactly what I hoped for. And the price is lower than any other NEIPA of this quality.

PKGD ON 01 17 22. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.

A: Hazy golden with 1-2 finger frothy white head with good retention and sticky lacing.

S: Explosive pineapple, blood orange, lime, melon, mango, and lychee. Esters are floral and fruity and medium intensity.

T: Similar flavor profile although less distinct than the aroma with more orange, grapefruit, lime, and citrus but still solid amount of pineapple and lychee with obvious apricot and mango in the finish and aftertaste. Esters are lower impact in the flavor but still fruity and alcohol is hidden. Bitterness is low.

M: Feel is good for style with typical softness in the finish, medium body, and low carbonation.

O: Old Nation DDH M-43 is a solid NEIPA offering with high-flying aroma and flavor.

From a 3-week-old can, pours a hazy light gold. Nice dense head of white foam. Smell is massive, and hits the moment I open the can. Nice combination of tropical fruit, citrus and the earthy, musky notes from a good Citra-hopped beer. Taste follows. This is a great NEIPA.

IMHO, M-43 is one of the best NEIPAs in the market. Pours a hazy yellow color with
a foamy white head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of citrus and tropical fruit. Taste of grapefruit. Good mouth feel. A nice amount of bitterness. DDH M-43 is just a little but smoother than regular M-43.

Poured from tap at Lucky Dog in Beulah, Michigan. Milky orange/amber color with thick foam head. Wonderful citrus aroma with grapefruit and orange notes. Tastes fruity and smooth, without an overpowering hops flavor. Delicious summer IPA.

I have not signed into beer advocate in a long while. When I saw this rating I was dismayed. This is a 5 star beer, through and through. I've been through 4 four packs over a 6 month period and everyone has been as good as the last. Bitter, but not too filling, somewhat sweet, but very drinkable and smells amazing to boot. Buy this beer, you won't be disappointed.
