A: [4.75] The bottle lists the ABV (6.0%) and there is a best by date of (06/25/17). Gives off the gorgeous nitro cascading then settles to 1 1/2 fingers of uber dense off white head atop a black liquid.
S: [4.00] Nice rich coffee with some sweet notes.
T: [4.25] Coffee, marshmallow, charred hardwood.
M: [4.25] Really smooth due to the nitro. Has a bit of a dry finish.
O: [4.25] I like this combination. It is lower in ABV but has a ton of coffee and stout flavor. The body is smooth and creamy. This is really a nice beer and I will stock in in the fridge!

It’s a good stout. Needed the coffee boost too. Still, there is something weird in the taste. Can’t put finger on it.
Someone asked me if you could drink an IPA and a stout in same session. I said, well, I can.

Nitro can poured into a Russian River Brewing Co pub glass
A: Pours cascading chocolate brown settling to nearly black with a creamy tan head that hangs around leaves plenty of thick lacing.
S: Roasty, bittersweet chocolate, black coffee, a little char, a hint of vanilla, earthy notes, slightly nutty, and a little toffee sweetness.
T: Roasty, a little char, cowboy coffee, bittersweet chocolate, a bit earthy, slightly nutty, and a little toffee sweetness.
M: A bit on the lighter side of medium body, understandably mild carbonation.
O: Dark beer + coffee instantly has my attention. Make it nitro and I'm snapping it up as soon as I see it. This one is really easy drinking. Wouldn't mind just a bit more body, but I'd happily start my day with a glass of this.

Best by 08-02-2020.
Pours black but not quite pitch black, ample head of off white foam, lacing is fine.
Smells of coffee, no, coffee grounds, very bitter, some dark chocolate, pretty intense
Taste is coffee, more like coffee than coffee grounds as it does taste as bitter as the smell. Dark chocolate, toffee, nice balance.
Smooth creamy mouthfeel.
I like. Left Hand has a way with Nitro.

Love hard-pouring this nitro, the cascading visual is great. Frothy, silk-cream head with a dark appearance similar to a fresh Guinness Draught from the tap!
Throughly enjoyed this smooth coffee porter. Fantastic beer overall.

Poured from the pint nitro can into a tulip.
Pours dark brown (nearly black) and opaque with an excellent creamy head that lingers very well even for a Nitro.
Excellent aromas of coffee, chocolate, lactose, and faint hops.
Semi-sweet chocolate and coffee on the tip of the tongue meet some toasted grains, dark fruits, and nuttiness in midstream. Hints of earthy hop at the finish. Very well balanced. A good blend of lactose and chocolate sweetness and deceptively present earthy hops.
The brew is surprisingly dry in the mouth, and not as full bodied as expected, but neither of these things is a bad thing.
Nitro brews are normally not my thing, but LH keeps delivering on this approach.

Pours an effervescent chestnut tinged mahogany with a thumb of tight tan head. Great head retention & good lacing
S: Coffee in spades, some roastyness & a little caramel
T: Coffee, roastyness, a little vanilla, plenty of dryness up front. Roastyness, a little caramel & coffee as this warms with a little leafy hop. Finishes roasty & dry with a little vanilla
MF Medium body, smooth carbonation
Solid beer, the Nitro enhances this one

Much like their Porter, Milk Stout and Nitro Milk Stout, this beer is smooth, delicious, and easy to drink. Quickly becoming one of my favorite breweries.

Left Hand Hard Wired Nitro Porter, 6% ABV. Pours black with a one finger beige nitro head that left foamy lacing. Nose is strong coffee - like coffee grounds, and slight chocolate. Taste follows, with slight to moderate coffee bitterness. Outstanding mouthfeel, overall outstanding.
