Amber, Darker than Saison au Miel, lighter than Sawtooth. Solid head of small bubbles, no lacing. Aroma of sourdough, ginger, spice. Palate of ginger, nutmeg, hay, pumpkin, caramel, toffee, wheat bread; finish of lightly sweet candies ginger. Pros I love ginger, sweetness is balanced (off dry). Cons of complexity. 87/100

12 oz. Bottle

Pours a pretty nice yellowish color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy/foamy white head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, yeasty, with some spice notes, ginger. The taste is malty, yeasty, spicy, ginger, Medium body. Overall, a pretty tasty brew.

Pours the delightful color of Ginger Ale with...almost no head :-( a slight puffy ring develops but it's not much in the way of substance.

Aromas of fresh ginger, cinnamon, and some garbage.

Mostly flavorless, with slight hints of ginger and vinegar, some slight spice rack action going on.

Feel magically disappears as soon as it hits the palate. Almost like it fizzles and evaporates.

Overall, Good JuJu is a big boo-boo. The club soda flavors mixed with hints of unfavorable tastes results in a poor experience.

A gifted beer that I wasn't overly enthralled about trying, but that I actually found mildly interesting. Pale yellow and translucent, the nose finds a mild spiciness from the ginger. Taste is light and somewhat fizzy, with a mild note of ginger ale on the palate. Neither particularly sweet or bitter, the overwhelming recollection I had was a bottle of Corona with the obligatory lime wedge jammed into the neck. Not that it tasted exactly like that, but there was something vaguely familiar / representative of that combo: I.e. a thin-low ABV beer with an additional note on top.

Clear amber. Thin head. Effervescent.
Unsurprising aroma of ginger. Malt and hops detectable (just).
Taste reflects the aroma. Sweet at first but finishes with a rather nasty sour bitterness.
Quite soft. Under carbonated.

Not hoppy like many lighter ales, but malty. The ginger in this beer is pronounced, but not at all overwhelming. Slightly sweet, slightly bitter, very light on the tongue. The ginger on the nose is really refreshing.

Pours dark yellow like a standard lager. Aroma is ginger and grain. Everything seems ok so far.

Ultimately, ginger dominates the flavor profile so hard that you end up questioning whether this is truly a beer. Its so spice rack/herbal that things like malt and hops are just afterthoughts. I literally couldn't drink this, which puts it in a very unique category.

Look I don't like ginger, maybe you do, but if you don't, then you won't like this, it brings the ginger and it brings it so hard that its pretty much all I can taste.

Tap at whole Foods Bedford
Deep golden bordering on amber. Huge ginger on the nose with some faint sweet bready caramel maltiness underneath. Very herbal and a bit distracting imho. Reminds me of a cough drop, not a fan.

The look: a nice tawny tan with some ascending bubbles. Sight aroma of ginger and hops. Hops are definitely not overpowering, and neither is the ginger. Poured into a pint with a quick dissolving head and not a lacing left behind, Not sure, but I may taste a bit of orange peel. . .or some citrusy notes. The feel initially coats the tongue a bit heavy, but fades and leaves some hoppy notes on the sides. Overall, I found this beer refreshing. Love the artwork!

Left Hand Good JuJu Ginger has a medium, off-white head, a mostly clear, orange-gold appearance, and very little lacing left behind. The aroma is of ginger and pale malt, and the taste is of pale malts, with ginger. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Good JuJu finishes crisp and highly drinkable.

12 oz bottle with a 15 Oct. 2016 BB date on the neck.

Look Clear orange-copper body with a small, short-lived head and minimal lacing..

Aroma: A nice mix of bready malts and ginger (of course).

Flavor mildly bitter; moderately strong ginger comes across as being of a good strength although it does dominated the malts.

Feel: Lighter side of medium with lightly prickly carbonation.

Overall: Like pale beers and ginger ale? .. does a ginger malt beverage sound appealing? If so, you're likely to like this. I did and found it quite refreshing on a warm day.

Pours a clear amber head a tall head that quickly dissipates. The aroma is mild ginger, lime, and crackery malt. The taste has bright ginger up front with some nice malts and a spicy aftertaste. Dry. Light, somewhat watery feel. This is a interesting beer, tastes and feels a lot like ginger ale. Very drinkable, but nothing here makes me want to come back.

this beer is very weak. Not much of an Aroma. You can barely smell the ginger or anything else. Its almost like water. The taste is the same.

Take a bud lite and add a small amount of ginger ale is date this beer taste like. Will never drink again.

Clear amber-orange body, very little of the fizzy white head. Smell is ginger, mild toasted grain. Flavor also has a strong presence of ginger, but also some grassy notes and unpleasant chalky yeast that are about equal to the spice. Pretty dry, to its credit. Medium body, lively carbonation, easy to drink.
The amount of ginger was on point, I think a little more, up to that spicy point, would be appropriate, but I'd prefer different supporting flavors. Mostly just that chalky yeast needs to go away. Something yummy like ginger deserves better.

Orange to amber in color and cloudy. A bit of head.

Smells like really muted ginger, not really much else.

Taste is similar to the smell - a light ginger and mild sweetness.

Body is light and finish is weak.

Meh, Not a fan. Try Cackalacky.

Lower on the carbonation side and a very minimal head. The head that was there diminishes quickly. There is a bit of decent lacing that continues after. It is a nice copper/orange color that is clear enough to read through.

Smells of ginger (of course), but not as powerful as expected. There is a faint fruity and caramel malt smell, but not very aromatic otherwise.

Slight bitterness at first, but then the ginger comes in. It is laid back and not in your face as some ginger beers are. Some malty flavors come through and some earthiness. Overall sweet and well balanced.

Lighter side of medium with an interesting tingle.

It was ok, but I'm not a big ginger beer fan. It was not all that flavorful and not much on aroma. I probably wouldn't buy again -Left Hand has a lot of other great beers to choose from.

A - A dark gold-copper color, with a white head, thin and wispy. Moderate lacing.

S - Ginger, with a hint of malt.

T - Ginger is powerful up front, fades to the background in the middle, with a hint of cracker-like malt coming forward. The close is slightly sweet, with ginger highlights.

M - Tingly and sharp, with a subtle dry close.

O - Reminds me of hardcore ginger beers in the nose, but the taste is more of a hybrid. I love ginger beer, and I like this a lot. A refreshing beer, but you need to know what you are getting, or you're likely to be a bit taken aback by the flavors and profile.

Moderately poured from bottle into pint glass...

L: Transparent amber hue, with a few fingers of light head, no lacing ... super effervescent

S: Aroma is very muted ... a little biscuit on the nose, faint ginger ... maybe some metallic notes.

T: Welp, there's the ginger. Just a very assertive, classic ginger flavor, which I enjoy. Nothing else really stands out -- maybe some grassy, peppery notes and a biscuity finish

F: Light mouthfeel but way too heavy on the carbonation ... you could convince me this is soda or even something from Angry Orchard

Okay, this is not great as a beer. But as a ginger-lover (yes I mean the PLANT!), it is definitely tasty, in the way that candy is tasty. I enjoy the experience but it's not satisfying or filling ... I was searching for something more dynamic.

There's nothing I won't try and very few beers that I've ever disliked. I think this beer is misunderstood.

First, the color is wonderful. It's a deep golden color. Good.
The smell on the other hand; It reminds me of a nice sushi platter. That's probably my bias.

How to best enjoy 'Good Juju':

Step 1. Throw it in the trash

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle best by 10/18/15. Sampled September 13, 2015.

Golden and straw yellow carbonated pour leading up to a fizzy white head. Bubbly.

The nose is briefly pale toasted malts but then it is all ginger.

Light to medium body.

Toasted sweetness and ginger play up the taste. If you dig ginger in your beer you might like it. Otherwise I can take it or leave it.

8/28/15. Home

Pours brownish yellow with a lazy white head that fades to look like soap in the beer. The smell is ok. Definitely ginger for sure and a little bitter hops in the background.

The taste is simple but good. It's a tiny bit sweet with a ginger soda kind of taste throughout. It's actually quite refreshing and kind of a beer you can knock back a few at a time. A little fizzy feel but kind of goes with the beer.

Overall, not bad. A decent late afternoon crusher or sushi beer. I'd get it again.

As a ginger beer (soda) brewer, this is very good! I've been disgusted by alcoholic ginger beer before, but this stuff is very balanced. It's light, but not overpowering and all the flavors stick out. Give it a try! (Must like Ginger to enjoy this)

Look: One finger of white creamy head dissipates quickly leaving mild lacing. Amber-copper in color with minimal carbonation.

Smell: Ginger root but not over the top. Pretty mild. Not as spicy as I was expecting.

Taste: Biscuity malt base presses the Ginger to the forefront. There is an underlying Lemony-citrus sweetness and tartness.

Feel: Finishes pretty dry. Light to medium light body.

Overall: Pretty alright. A little safe. I really wanted this to be a bit spicier and bone dry. Approachable and easy to drink. Happy I tried it. Don't really need to revisit this again.

Amazing label. Not a fan of the ginger beers but I'd drink one if someone tossed me one
Better than that crabbies one. And way better than the magic hat one.
