Poured out a clear golden, amber color with a good deal of carbonation and a small, white head of foam. It smelled of pine and floral notes. Sharp pine/juniper flavor with yeastiness and light caramel notes.

Pours an effervescent gold with 3 fingers of pearl colored head. Average head retention & lacing

S: Peppery, yeasty, green banana once warm

T: Pear, white peppery, a little yeasty with just a little Juniper up front. Dryness mixes in with pear, a liitle white pepper, plus a little green banana peel once warm. Finishes crisp with dryness, pears & green banana peel

MF: Medium body, fairly firm carbonation

A good take on the style, abeit a little ceaner than expected

16 oz. Can
Best By: 01/29/2018

Poured into a chalice a pretty nice clean/clear dark golden yellowish color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger white head, which also leaves some pretty nice creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, yeasty, with some juniper, wheaty, with some corinader, banana. The taste is pretty nice, malty, yeasty, with some coriander, banana, juniper, nice wheat note. Medium body, ABV hidden pretty nicely. Overall, this is a tasty brew. Surprised me.

Pretty good domestic cut on a Saison. Missing some barnyard/funk but has a lot going for it too. Pours a clear light gold color from a 12 oz can into a pint glass. Medium size bubbly white head with average retention and very little lacing. Aroma includes lots of Belgian yeast, a citrus Lemon) presence and some spiciness and tartness from the juniper. Taste is dominated by Belgian yeast and the juniper. Pretty good, but I still like some funkiness in my Saisons. Mouthfeel is impressive. Light, crisp, refreshing with some tartness/bitterness from the juniper. Unusual and worth a try.

Pours a crystal clear gold color. Very effervescent with hundreds of small bubbles coursing upward in the beer feeding a thin bubbly white head. Head is thin but completely covers the beer and has excellent retention.

Smell has notes of clove, juniper, a hint of citrus and some floral notes with cracker malt notes peaking through.

Taste is initially spicy. The clove, pepper, and a slight tart flavor immediately hit the palate. Some sweetness comes through with cracker malts, some floral notes, juniper, and a hint of citrus. There is definitely a gin inspired profile to the flavor here with the floral notes, coupled with some spice and that juniper. Not really a traditional saison but its an interesting take on the style that I thought was pretty well done.

Feel is very light and thin. Moderate carbonation provides a slight prickly sensation in the mouth.

Overall a solid beer from Left Hand - Its a bit too peppery for my taste, Id love to see the juniper shine more, but its somewhat overtaken by the pepper and clove spice notes.

From the can it pours a clear golden color with a nice cream puff of a head. It retains well with sudsy lace that clings to the glass.
The aroma is slightly funky at first. However, this is a fleeting sensation as it soon gives way to juniper berries and crackery malt.
In the mouth it feels medium bodied with a tingly carbonation. The profile of the flavor can be described as a firm crackery malt backbone laced with juniper berries. In addition, peppery spice from the yeast, fruity adds a nice complexity. The palate is both fruity and dry with a slightly tart lemony and citrus peel finish.
I don’t understand why this one is rated higher. For me it has the solid qualities- fruity, peppery, dry- that I like in a saison.

From a large can, this is a very pale yellow...a little haze and a medium thick white head. The aroma is floral...wonderful complexity: hops, yeast, berries, spice, and more. The taste is slightly sweet, with delicate peppery flavors. Medium in body and very satisfying.

Saisons being one of my favorite styles, right up there with traditional English pale ale (sorry to all you hop-heads, I prefer a beer where the malt and the yeast are running the show), this one was new to me until today. I'm also a big fan of juniper anything so purchasing one 16-oz can came without much effort. First impression: the smell/nose is quite 'herbal'. Color is more of a clear, golden hue than most saisons I enjoy. Full bodied in taste, and a bit of an 'oily' mouthfeel, if there's such a thing. Quaffable, of course, as befits the style but the juniper began to take command nearing the end of the glass, as the beer settled and warmed up so I can't see drinking more than one or two of these in a session. All in all however a fine effort and for $2.69/pint can, a relative bargain in my neck of the woods.

From the bottom of the can: "215:10:02:42 BEST BY 01/30/2018"

Apparance: It has a light gold colored body which has very good clarity and a rolling white head that builds carbonation as fast as it fades. It maintains a short white head and has good retention but not much lacing.

Aroma: It has a strong bread yeast aroma that fills the room. Upon closer approach it gives off a somewhat more alcoholic scent with a touch of bay leaf. The beer does say it is made with juniper berries but it doesn't smell like them.

Taste: There is a touch of clove with some light cedar flavor and a strong doughy taste. Like the aroma it doesn't have any juniper.

Mouthfeel: It has a lighter body with a bit of a chewy quality to it. It finishes wet.

Overall: It's a fairly average tasting Saison that doesn't deliver the juniper that is prominently displayed on the can. It was a bit disappointing to have that aroma and flavor missing. I really wouldn't recommend it.

A-pours a clear pale gold color with a white head with decent retention
S-cracked black pepper, juniper, apple, pear
T-sweet malt, apple, honey, juniper, floral, bit of peppery spice
M-medium-light bodied with average retention
O- not a bad saison, but by no means blew me away. I like the addition of juniper, just wish the base beer was a bit better

Pours a clear amber with fizzy white head, a few dots on the glass. Smell: sweet pale malt, juniper, apple and pear, allspice. Taste: crisp pear, lightly citric, lots of pepper, a little honey bread, mildly spicy in the finish. Sticky. Same flaws as the other variants but a bit more interesting.

16 oz can in PA.
Clear amber body with a weak white head.
Mild up front with a stronger and funkier flavor by the finish. Fruity with various apple flavors. Medium body and medium-light carbonation.

Appearance is beautiful golden with a nice head to look at. It falls to nothing and leaves you with just a few bubbles on the rise. Nose is juniper. A bit of cracker and herbal hop. I am not smelling any tartness but I know it's there. Floral and a bit of pepper. Drinks ok but is a little slow to go down. There is a touch of sweetness keeping it from being completely dry. Not much bitterness to finish it either. very nice flavors though and I like the juniper.
