Black with about a 1/2 inch head that stuck around some, lacing wasn't bad.

Aroma is nice, milk chocolate, roasty, milky, malty, coffee. Flavor is somewhat on the same lines, but the milky and creamy chocolate flavors are more pronounced. There's a good touch of roasty flavors, and just a hint of burnt, but mostly milk chocolate dominates.

Body is thick, creamy, slick, and carbonation is low. I personally prefer a little more in the way of carbonation, even in a stout, but it's not out of range for the style.

Overall it's plenty good enough if you're wanting a milk stout, you won't be disappointed.

Appearance: Dark, nearly opaque brown. Garnet highlights can be seen when glass is held to the light. Creamy tan head is of moderate size.

Smell: Evenly distributed dark and milk chocolate aromas. Some light hops, and a hint of dark fruit.

Taste: Roasted malt, mocha, and powdered milk. Moderate bitterness, but a clean finish (too clean for the style, in my opinion). Sweet plums are tasted as the beer warms. Delicious, despite some minor "faults."

Mouthfeel: Silky, and dare I say, luxurious. However, the medium-high carbonation makes this stout feel lighter than it should be.

Overall: I'd definitely pick up a six-pack. And then another. It sure hits the spot without being too sweet. But I do think it needs a little refining--some more body, a bit more roast, and perhaps some more fruit would do the trick.

First review so patience please.

Appearance: Dark, near black with a 2-finger creamy tan head. Perfect for a stout.

Smell: Subtle coffee and light chocolate aroma without significant alcohol smell.

Taste: Oh so very nice and creamy smooth. A little bit sweet with a hint of sweet coffee. Mild hops in the aftertaste. No bitterness. Very enjoyable.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, creamy. Should have asked, but it feels like a nitro-tap without the bite of carbonation.

Overall: My first experience with a milk stout as opposed to regular stout beers. I definitely enjoyed this one and look forward to many more. While it is smooth enough to go down easily, it is enjoyable enough to want to savor. I think that I would order this over a Guinness!
