An outstanding milk stout. Pours nice and dark, with a good brown creamy head, the head didn't last though. smells of chocolate and coffee. taste is so creamy and smooth, nice and sweet, the smells come though on the palate, chocolate is was I tasted the most of, with a nice hint of coffee. This milk stout is a must have

When you're in the mood for a stout, this is the one to get.

Beautiful tiny bubbles, looked amazing in the glass if you follow their instructions to "Pour Hard."

Wonderful aroma, chocolaty, coffee, sweet, almost dessert-like.

Creamy mouthfeel as it should be. A delicious beer.

I always said that Odell's Cutthroat Porter could use a full body. This beer has a lot of the same roasty notes, with an added bonus of being sweet and silky smooth. But not cloyingly sweet. The smell is so inviting that you can't help but down the entire bottle in no time. This is a dangerously drinkable, and eminently pleasant, brew. It could use a bit more carbonation to liven things up, and the taste isn't anything that will blow your pants off. Regardless, this will become a permanent resident in my fridge.

12 oz. nitro-bottle, with best by date 12/29/2013 printed on the bottleneck. I had a moment of confusion for a minute when I realized that this beer is the same as Left Hand Milk Stout, only with a nitro conditioned bottle. Or something. Anyway, this review is for the black labeled bottle Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro, and I've never had the regular bottled version.

Poured into a clear balloon snifter glass.

A - Pours a deep opaque black colored body with about a quarter inch of creamy mocha suds for a head. I have to admit, this looks pretty awesome.

S - Smell has a smooth, creamy, clean feel to it, clearly from the nitro. Chocolate, vanilla, cream, and malt roast are all fresh-smelling and apparent.

T - Taste follows the nose: smooth velvety chocolate, malt roast, some coffee bean bitterness, cream, vanilla.

M - Feel is creamy and smooth, but in all honesty, the flat texture to the beer is off-putting for me. I'd prefer it to have a tad bit more carbonation.

Overall, aside from being pretty flat with hardly any carbonation, this was a great beer. I would like to see how this fares when compared to the regular bottled version of Left Hand Milk Stout, and to the nitro-tap version. An all around curious beer that has me intrigued.

Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro ---4/5.
