This beer, in my opinion, is a great case study in why the style is called Milk/Sweet Stout. It smells, tastes and feels milky and sweet.

Completely black color. beautiful, thick, creamy head that just didn't dissipate very fast. There was so much lace in the glass at the end that it looked full until you looked at it from the top.

Smelled milky and like coffee. A little hint of the alcohol, but not very strong.

Taste was oddly sweet and milky. Very creamy and lots of esters. Bready and a nice coffee chocolate bitterness at the end. Feel was crazy creamy, though stronger carbonation than was expected.

Good stout.

Appearance - Very dark. Surprisingly small head- not even a finger's worth. Minute lacing.

Smell - Roasted coffee, dark chocolate, milk, hint of fruit.

Taste - Just like it smells. Less coffee, more dark or bitter-sweet chocolate, hint of dates or plums. Did not detect any alcohol. Delicious.

Mouthfeel - Silky, creamy on the tongue. No bitterness and no aftertaste. Not as thick as most stouts I've tasted but that's picking nits. Exceptionally smooth.

Overall - Quite possibly my new favorite beer. Only other brew I can compare it to for sheer awesomeness of the taste is Guinness Foreign Extra (although they really don't taste alike). Got this as a single and will be heading back for a pack.
