Poured from 12oz bottle into a New Belgium tulip

Appearance: black with a mocha head that dissipated very quickly

Smell: Mmmmm. That's nice. Heavy mocha. Coffee and cream. It smells as if it is going to taste sweet.

Taste: Rushes over your tongue with a wave of sweetness. When that dissipates you get some chocolate that turns into a coffee bitterness on the finish.

Mouthfeel: Very round. Has the weight and consistency of skim milk. Very little carbonation on the mouthfeel.

Overall: Pretty solid stout. I thought the flavors were a little underwhelming. But then again I haven't had a normal strength stout in awhile. I would definitely recommend.

I recently had the nitro version of this which was much smoother and creamier. but this is a good stout none the less!
Pours black. as a stout should. the smell seems muffled a little but still makes your mouth water.
its not an overbearing taste. good drinkable stout.
