Pours a dark oily brown topped with a frothy, cream colored head. I expected a little larger of a head considering the 'nitro.' The aroma is wonderful with smooth cream, milk chocolate, brown sugar, and candy. The taste reveals additional roasty and coffee notes within. The flavors are not as powerful as I expected, and overall the beer is pretty light in its body and feel as well. It goes down quite easily however. Ultimately good, but a disappointment if you are looking for a rich beer. I prefer Young's or Lancaster Milk Stout as better examples of the style.

I didn't much car for this beer too much. I thought it was way too sweet especially when it warmed and pours like flat Acme cola.
Watching the pour it came out chestnut brown black producing no head what so ever, looks thin and just didn't have that velvetty flow one sees with this style of beer.
Aroma was upfront lactose sweet with only hint sof chocolate and coffee and roasted malts.
Taste was flat smooth and surprsingly thick on the palette. The first taste was sweet lactose followed by roasted malts and coffee.
Overall t just didn't work for me, way too sweet and way too flat to relly enjoy properly.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass; fresh according to date on bottle ("best before May 2013"). Realized after purchasing that I should have purchased the nitro-bottle as I am a fan of a smooth nitro beer...oh well...still looking forward to this one!

Appearance - Dark, opaque in color; very limited head (possibly due to a weak pour given that most others report at least a finger's worth of head); the minimal head that did form dissipated very quickly but still laced decently around the edges of the glass as I drank it.

Smell - Coffee, chocolate, malt, almost candy-like odor. Very enjoyable...I can only smell it for a few seconds before I am obligated to take a big gulp...

Taste - Tastes like it smells...coffee, chocolate, candy-like. Malt-taste, sweet.

Mouthfeel - Very easy on the palate...probably even easier from a nitro bottle. Limited carbonation; an easy drink; soothing, creamy.

Overall - A nice milk-stout that is tasty, smooth, and easy on the palate. I probably wouldn't seek it out but I would drink one of these again if available. NOTE: I drank a Nitro version a few months later...very similar review, overall...
