Poured from a 12oz bottle with a best by date of 7/1/25; into a stout glass.
Appearance- black through the middle of the glass with a mahogany hue along the top and bottom of the glass; thin, off white with a crimson tinge head that vanished to a tiny island of bubbles with a thin ring along the side; lacing is fairly absent, as expected!
Smell - dark chocolate covered cherries and raisins with a faint roasted coffee bean presence!
Taste - there is an interesting blend of flavors here that really work well together; I’m picking up what is present in the nose, along with some bourbon barrel and black licorice!
Feel - a very big and hearty brew, but not overly heavy, even at over 12%; it’s a sipper, but an easy sipper for sure!
Overall- this is a winner as it has some creative qualities and hits in all categories!

12 ounce bottle, best by date of 07/01/25 stamped on the bottle. Another brew from Brutaltruth, thanks! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stayed around for a while. There's also a lot of lacing. Aroma is mostly sweet, the brew smells like roasted malt, coffee, caramel, cherries, and dark chocolate. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some dark bread, molasses and burnt/charred flavors. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's creamy and coating with a good amount of carbonation. Easy enough to drink for being 12.1% ABV. I thought this was a pretty good imperial stout, definitely worth picking up if you've never had it before. I know I'd like to have this again!

From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This exceptional example of an imperial
stout pours a rich opaque with a glint of cola highlights and a thick
sudsy foam that subsides to a thick ring, thin clumping pool, and displays some
very nice soapy lacing. Nose of bakers chocolate, dark coffee, touches of char,
and hints of dark fruit. Flavors surpass the nose with a dark moderately
bitter bakers cocoa awash in strong coffee notes that are touched by
char and mild dark fruit notes of cherry that are pressed against a
moderately strong grain touched booze note. Nice body; full
mouth feel, light carbonation that is perfect for the style, and a
rich malt forward and lightly bitter roasted finish that is
warming and inviting.

Overall, a SOLID brew from a GREAT brewery.

Pours with an insignificant head, aroma of roasted malts with hints of licorice and chocolate. Medium body is creamy on the palate, seductive. Taste of roasted malt, chocolate, anise, dark fruit. Slightly boozy but remarkably drinkable. At $10.49 for a 4 pack it's a really reasonable buy, this is as good as some more expensive stouts that I've had. Quite enjoyable, I recommend it if you like stouts.

The beer pours a nice khaki brown colored creamy head that dissipates at a moderate pace. The beer itself is a dark chocolate brown that looks delicious.

The smell is good. IT has a nice roasted malt smell with a smattering of bitter chocolate and coffee alongside a creamy oat as well.

The taste is also good. It has the same roasted malt notes of a bitter chocolate and hints of coffee alongside a slightly tart and sweet cherry note. There is also a creamy oat note in the finish.]

The feel is good. It has a medium plus body to it but has a good creamy texture to it. It has a soft carbonation to it and is surprisingly drinkable. It has a slightly dry finish to it.

Overall, a pretty good beer worth trying if you can find it somewhere. The notes are unique and interesting enough to make this a worth anniversary beer.

This brew is a dark, nearly black beer with a tan head. This brew is richly roasted, with a lot of dark fruit and alcohol. The taste is bitter, with roasted and charcoal notes. Complex and warming. Full, thick, and intense. Wonderful.

Best by July 1st 2025.

Pours a pitch black with an inch of tannish foam, lacing is very good.

Roasted malt and bitter chocolate very noticeable in the smell. Coffee is right up there but I'm having trouble with the cherries. No matter.

Roasted malt, bitter chocolate, coffee almost in equal proportions, big alcohol, cherries are very elusive. Lots of warming.

Almost if not full bodied.

Happy Anniversary Left Hand! This is very nice.

12 ounce bottle - $3.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours a dark brown-black body with a small-sized surge of beige froth.

Smell: Char-toned roasted malt, blackstrap molasses cut with some boozy discount chocolate liqueur and a backdrop of macerated fruit fruitiness.

Taste: Dark roast and molasses with a generous helping of table sugar and bitter chocolate sauce. Turns towards some dark fruitiness akin to raisins and tart cherries. Then, some bitterness alongside some astringent charred roast and alcoholic heat. A longly sweet, hard roasty, heated finish.

Mouthfeel: Full-bodied. Medium-soft carbonation. Mouthfeel is smooth and a bit sticky.

Overall: Almost satisfactory!

12 oz. Bottle
Best By: 07/01/25

Poured into a tulip a pretty nice dark brown color, nice carbonation, with a nice quick/fizzy light tan head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, with some nice chocolate/toffee notes, vanilla, licorice, some coffee, nice a nice dark fruit complex (cherries, figs, raisins, plums). The taste is pretty nice, malty, with a nice touch of chocolate/toffee, vanilla, licorice, some coffee, with a pretty nice dark fruit complex (cherries, figs, raisins, plums). Full Body, ABV is hidden nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a pretty tasty brew. Glad to see it around here.

12oz bottle. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, brown head of foam. It smelled of cherry, chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Nice roasted malt taste with bitter dark chocolate and coffee.

Poured a black body with minimal head and lace. The aroma is boozy with notes of chocolate and dark fruits (mostly black cherry). Fuller, thicker body, slow sipper, has a chocolate sweetness with hints of dark fruits and then finishes with some booziness; beer has good balance and is worth trying.

Moderate pour yields a one inch tan head over a dark brown body with sticky lacing that stays put. Muted nose of dark roasted malt, slight chocolate, slighter coffee, and even slighter dark fruit. Taste of bitter chocolate, dark roast coffee, a bit of molasses, and slight burnt espresso. Nice feel and overall, a pretty tasty stout. Cheers!

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque in the glass with a thin dark khaki head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, cocoa and mild cherry and caramel. Flavor is dark toasted malt with mild char, milk and dark chocolate, light molasses and coffee, a hint of cherry. A little more char shows up in a full, chocolatey finish. Medium bodied with light creaminess. A full bodied, rich stout that has a lot of Russian imperial stout character. Great chocolate and emphatic malt. Excellent flavor from start to finish and a quite worthy 25th anniversary beer. I like this brewery and am usually more pleased than I expect with a new beer from them.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours almost black with a small khaki head that fades leaving decent retention and lacing. The aromas are malt forward. Some chocolate and dark fruits. The aromas are mild, but open up as it warms. The flavors are bold. Lots of dark chocolate. Some raisins. Subtle hints of marshmallow. Moderate bitterness. Mild warmth in the finish, but it's not hot or boozy at all. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of full-bodied. It's slightly thin with moderate to active carbonation. It's sharp, smooth and dangerously drinkable.

This is a solid imperial stout. It's a traditional and classic example of the style. It's not flashy, but that isn't a bad thing. Not bad at all.
