Finally decided to start reviewing on a semi regular basis so we'll see how it goes. appearance is a fairly nice amber color, head is minimal and dissipates quickly. smell is pleasant with a little bit of sweetness poking through, although it is not prevelant and you sort of have to strain to get a good whiff. Taste is nothing short of average, and i feel fairly basic. It's not unenjoyable, just not anything that will knock your socks off. Hop presence feels slightly mute to me, but because of this mouthfeel and drinkablilty are slightly higher because if you wanted to just slug it back you could. overall not very memorable but at least i got to look at the cool artwork on the label while i drank it.

Poured into a 16 oz Flying Dog tulip glass bestate by 1/27/17. Pours a very attractive dark orange with a 2 plus finger sticky white head and the ABV is 7.3
Smell is clove, biscuit, caramel, peppery hops, earthy hops, fresh cut grass, and grapefruit.
Taste follows huge Belgian clovy start, hard candy, spicy hops, biscuit, and a very subtle grapefruit presence.
Mouthfeel is about medium, plenty of carbonation, a tinge dry, and pretty drinkable.
Overall this is a solid Belgian IPA, but definitely as much Belgian as IPA.

Comes out like all those amalgamations of beers with some light brown, orange and auburn colors swirling. Aroma didn't impart warrior hops, or really much in the way of hops at all. This feels like one of those bigger malty ipas already.
Sure enough, its one of those toffee and caramel ipas with definite c hop bitterness. Don't get me wrong, the malt bill is enjoyable, it imparts a certain earthy woody tobacco road kind of vibe in front of the hopping. But is that what we came shopping for ipas for? The alcohol is there, but not oppressive.
Left hand has been around since the 90s, and there recipes seem firmly entrenched there as well. Nothing bad about this beer, just kind of a relic at this point I guess, which is fine, most breweries stick with what brought them to the dance.

BBD 1/13/16. Clear amber pour with a dark ruby cast. Outstanding head volume, world class lacing and retention.
Outstanding nose of orange and light pine over biscuit coupled with a bit of earthy spice.
Light body with a texture similar to that of water but coupled with an outstanding oily slickness. Superb carbonation with a bit of effervescence in the middle and a nice burst in the finish.
The flavor profile is very good. This is a hop flavor focused beer with moderate bitterness that is balanced with toasty biscuit and caramel. Like the nose, orange dominates with pine and spicy elements in the background. Along with moderate bitterness in the middle, caramel makes a strong appearance. The finish is semi-dry and a hint of alcohol astringency arrives over a lingering slightly sweet rind/pine bitterness.
