I had 2 12 oz. cans at Tulu's Restaurant in Virginia Beach VA. Served with a pint glass, this beer features a good sized frothy head with good retention and plenty of lacing on the glass. Aroma and taste feature citrus (orange) and various tropical fruits. Aroma is moderate, taste is fairly pronounced. What makes it better is a good level of bitterness - a bit more than the typical NE IPA. Mouthfeel is crisp and nicely bitter. The 6.8% .abv is not that noticeable. A good pairing with a Mediterranean fish dish!! I would drink this one again

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the United Airlines Polaris Lounge at Dulles Airport. The beer poured a slightly orangish with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had old school bitter hop with citrus and pine flare. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with old school ipa bitterness blostered by hints of pine and grapefruit. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

12 oz can from Kroger. Hazy mustard cir with a nice frothy, white head. Aroma is light citrus, fruity. Taste comes in weaker than the aroma, faint citrusy grapefruit flavors and light bready notes.

Had this on draft at the ValleyFest Beer & Wine Festival 2021 at Massanutten Mountain on 9-18-21. Good offering that was the standout of the day for me. Typical NEIPA full of citrus and tropical aroma and flavor.

At the Washington Dulles airport.
Very hazy deep golden color with a thin head.
Big tropical fruit aroma.
Taste is not what the nose suggest, quite a hoppy character just subtle notes of fruit.

This is a sixer I picked up in Williamsburg taking my son to the local amusement parks but was too tired in the hotel to have even one after a full day at Water Country. It is a fairly typical NEIPA in a lot of ways, plenty of seeping medicinal and herbal hops and the requisite mango and tropical notes. Kind of high carbonation might be a minor knock.

On tap at Capital Ale with Randy. A mild, hazy IPA. At first, it tastes like mellow fruit, but on the back end you get a nice hoppy bite. It's a local brewery or I'd more at home.

6/17/2019 canning date. Poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass. It pours a cloudy, orange-tangerine color with a snow-white cap and a half finger of thin, creamy lacing. A floral, fruity nose featuring lemon, tangerine, melon, and very faint berry, along with lite floral hops. The smell improves as it warms in the glass. The taste opens with tart lemon and grapefruit. What makes it intriguing, though, is a discernible taste of berry at mid-sip. I can't quite place it but it adds a nice touch. I don't know whether it's from the Azacca hops or not. It's followed by a dose of resinous pine needles and bitter Chinook hops that finish with a strong bite. The mouth feel is lite and crisp with a pleasant level of carbonation. The 6.8% ABV is a perfect level for this ale. It gives it substance but a second can (particularly in the 12 oz. format) is not a problem and is very much appreciated on a hot summer's day. Overall, I was prepared to be underwhelmed but was pleasantly surprised. The fruit and hop bitterness are nicely-balanced. This ale would pair really well with a bucket of steamers.

Very good New England IPA. Poured from tap at area restaurant. Aroma is nice but I would have liked even more citrus. Poured a hazy yellow gold with some head that dissipated quickly. Taste was spot on with a hint of bitterness by intention but generally smooth on pallet at finish. Something to go back to again.

12oz can, canned on 04/20/18. Served in a Samuel Smith glass.

Appearance: Mostly transparent gold with a hint of amber. Nicely thick and persistent off white head with fine strands of persistent lacing.

Smell: Pineapple, orange citrus, just a bit of pine. Very nice.

Taste: Plenty of citrus - quite a bit of orange from sweet orange to orange peel and bitter oranges. The finish has notes of grapefruit and pine along with bitter orange. A bit of a bready to slightly sweet malt under it all - complements the hops nicely.

Mouthfeel: Good carbonation, quite a bit sticky on the teeth, good thickness - very smooth.

Overall / Drinkability: This is a very good AIPA - not a bitter wallop, but still hoppy for an AIPA, but with plenty of aroma and I like the orange focused citrus hop profile I'm tasting. I wish I now had picked up a 6 pack of this - very tasty and quite drinkable. I would encourage this brewer to put this in 16oz cans.

On-tap at Capital Ale House, Richmond, VA

A: The beer is very hazy dark yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving a minuscule ring of white bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of tropical fruit hops are present in the nose—papayas seem to stand out in particular.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of papayas, stone fruit, and oranges. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the apart and has a moderate amount of carbonation. No bitterness is present.
O: I really like the mixture of the different fruit flavors in the taste of this beer.

Serving type: on-tap
