This sessionable IPA is brewed with an insane amount of Mosaic hops and lots of love. Juice Jr. is the little brother of JB DIPA.

Juice Jr. just might be our most popular hazy IPA. This classic is all about the citrus and tropical Mosaic hop. Lush and easy drinking with notes of citrus and pineapple.

Can received in a drive-by porch bombing courtesy of @snaotheus canned 9.11, opened 10.7, poured into a pretentious beer glass results in a pale yellow pellucid haze with a frothy to finger white foam cap

Aroma is orange citrus, pineapple

Taste is dank , grapefruit citrus, orange

Mouthfeel is dry , quenching , hop bites at the back of the mouth

Good beer

Bad print on the month on the canned on date... 08/31/23 (Since there aren't 31 days in Sept)

Appearance - Pours hazy and a light, faded orange color with a frothy, one finger width head that dissipates in fair time, leaving a thin broken layer of suds over the surface, thickening up around the edges to form a decent ring. A few small patches and some spots make up a minimal lacing.

Smell - Ripe, pungent citrus, mostly orange, lesser pineapple, with traces of mango and peach.

Taste - Follows the nose. Ripe orange and pineapple, maybe some grapefruit pith in there, then a touch of mango and peach. Definitely some peppery spice as it nears the finish. Aftertaste lingers in balance, with most of the aforementioned flavors, but orange and mild peppery spice lingers the longest.

Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied, fair carbonation, and stays silky consistent through to a smooth finish.

Overall - This one hits on many levels. Great flavor and progression of flavor, wonderful texture and smooth finish, and a balanced aftertaste. If this is the Jr beer, I'm all in for trying the beer that inspired it. I'm a huge advocate of Portland tap water.

Look: Turbid orange on the pour, which generates a lofty and large-bubbled head that balloons to the rim and ever-so-slowly settles, leaving patches of lacing behind
Aroma: I could smell it on the pour. Ripe oranges and juice, ruby-red grapefruit, mandarins, peach, gooseberries, some guava, strawberries, and sweet bready malt
Taste: A ridiculously juicy combo of citrus fruits and peach open things up with a bang as waves of berries and guava crash in to join forces. Malt is present in feel and slight sweetness but this is a straight-up juice bomb through and through that closes like it started with juicy citrus and ripe peaches
Mouthfeel: Full, slightly soft, medium-high carbonation, and soft but clean on the finish
Overall: This is tasty stuff. This was my first beer from these folks only a few months after they opened their doors and I wanted to see what this “NEIPA” thing was all about so it was fun to revisit and reminisce about how much things have changed since then as this beer and brewery were and are a trend-setter in the style locally. A deliciously juicy citrus and berry-forward beer that is huge on aroma and flavor but absent of the flaws that can plague this style – mouthfeel, astringency/hop burn, and cloying finish. Awesome stuff and easy to see why this beer and these folks get high praise on this. Recommended

16oz can

Poured at fridge temp into a nonic glass

Pours pure juice with a soapy white head

Wicked fruity and tropical aroma

Pleasant floral bitterness, fruity sweetness and fresh juicy and crisp hops

Sharper carbo, but fairly soft and light otherwise

Canned 3/9/23. “All juiced up” stamped on the side of the can

And another one from the mystery box from Snaotheus. This is my first time trying anything hoppy from Great Notion, and I’m quite excited. I’ve only had sour and dark beers from them so far. Let’s see how this west coast brewery handles a NEIPA

Pours a hazy bright gold with 2 fingers of white head that quickly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing

The nose here displays a nice balance between typical juicy NEIPA notes and firmly bitter WCIPA notes. I’m picking up on aromas of pineapple juice, white pepper, bready malt, mango juice, papaya, earthy hops, white grape, and a touch of weed

It focuses more on the juicy side of things in taste, but still retains its bitterness. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting pineapple juice, mango, orange juice, bready malt, grassy hops, papaya, light weed, and white pepper. The swallow brings notes of orange juice, papaya, underripe mango, crackery malt, white pepper, earthy hops, light grass, and pineapple juice

A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a slick beer. Finishes dry with a nice bitter bite

This one is damn good. It doesn’t go into full on juice territory, but strikes a great balance

great notion has just launched in the boise market, they do so much cool stuff, this is a great add here, but its also a smart add, definitely among their most easy drinking ipa types ive had, so many of them are just massively full bodied, thick and milky, and hopped to oblivion, this one will be lighter and more familiar to most folks, similar but superior to many of its peers, and as a showcase of mosaic, i think its outstanding, this is a great choice of a beer to kick it off with, everyone who likes hops will love it. softly hazy lightly orange tinted brew with a pretty inch of airy white head, good retention, sexy lace, this is well refined for the style, clean looking for these guys. aroma is awesome, recognizable as mosaic, but in all its pure glory here, maybe more complex than many, white grape, almost ripe pear, familiar pineapple from the can and meyer lemon zest, really bright and fresh and on what seems to be a pretty minimal grain base, if there are oats in here its just a pinch. the ferment is clean, the malt base is dry with just a gentle cereal layer in support of the hops, so its all about the big juicy dry hopping here, i get hints of coconut, white wine, green banana, and mango here along with everything i can smell, rather dynamic for a beer thats single hopped, or close to it, not sure if there are some other bittering hops in the boil, but bitterness is low here. the mosaic is punchy and pungent and new, no green burn or bite at all, and the finish is dry and clean, something missing in a lot of their bigger hazy ones ive had. lovely citrus conclusion here, jovial carbonation, easy drinking as hazy ipa can be, just extremely well done. stoked to have great notion in idaho!

Guess who's now in the Boise market? Yep, Great Notion. On-tap in Nampa, this one is a clean, moderately hazed NE pale with a small white cap. Very, very juicy on the nose, tropical and citrusy hops abound, and the palate is no different. Very fruity and floral and drinkable and hoppy, light and smooth as well with very low perceived bitterness. Good stuff GN.

Hazy orange color, mild head and lacing. Smell is bright citrus, notes of grapefruit, pineapple, orange, and mango. Taste is tangy, zesty, and citrusy with notes of the same fruits above, some lemon as well. Crisp, lighter to medium bodied, slightly mouth watering finish. Excellent milder version of a NEIPA.
