The tap pour is a pretty pink-orange color with no visible carbonation and a baked blueberry muffin aroma.
The flavor is of tart fruit: peach, cherry and berries are most prominent.
The tartness persists in the finish, pleasantly.
This is a good one.

16oz can into a pint glass. Stamp on bottom of can would require a microscope to decipher.
So so look. Dark pinkish body, head fizzes away quite quickly, no lacing. Aroma is amazing, absolutely a blueberry muffin. Taste is tart, tart and sweet blueberry with a cakey muffin note. Finish is a tart blueberry flavor, but not lasting. Excellent fruited sour.

The world of sours has evolved a lot since this was introduced. I think its score is an artifact of earlier days, as this is mediocre at best in 2023. Pours a turbid brownish with quick-fading head. Yikes. Aroma is easily the best aspect, with tons of blueberry and maybe some muffin. Flavors don't really put those together. It's tart/sour, and has some berry flavor, but again, just mid. Glad I tried, but bought a single because of the score and was certainly let down. Boring.

Faint can date print, but I'm pretty sure it reads 08/02/23
Appearance - Pours opaque and dark violet in color. Pink, finger width head that dissipates to a somewhat barren surface, with tiny islands found here and there. Razor thin ring of suds around the edges of the glass. A few small patches of lace, but also fruit sediment dirtying the glass as well.
Smell - Blueberry smacks the nose, both with tart and sweet notes. Hint of vodka-like booze. Distant bready malts.
Taste - Tart, sour blueberry upfront before underlying berry and sugary sweetness comes through, along with a soft, bready sweetness. A hint of warming booze near the finish. Aftertaste lingers with continuing sugary sweetness and fading blueberry tartness.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Soft, velvety texture before a slightly dry, sticky finish.
Overall - Blueberry muffin? I can see that, but with added tartness. It's solid for sure, but I've had better blueberry sours. There's that funky boozy note in there that, while not a major detractor, does feel a bit out of place. Certainly rich, almost getting cloying, as I get to the bottom of this pint, so more than one would probably be overkill for me.

On tap at the original location on Alberta Street in Portland. Pours a nice dark pink with a slight reddish hint. The nose is really nice. Slightly sour, blueberry, bread. The taste is fantastic. Literally tastes like a blueberry muffin with some added sourness. Crisp and crushable.

Had this a few times and it's a fun beer. It doesn't hold its head very long, but has some at first. The ruddy rusty brown hazy body isn't the most appealing, but it's ok for a sour with a berry that provides coloring. The nose is the most amazing part of this beer and definitely evokes blueberry muffins warming on the counter on a weekend morning. The blueberry comes out more in the nose than the taste, but the berry works its way through the tart sour aspects which themselves are initially cut by an opening sweetness. Overall, a tart-sweet sour with a blueberry lean that isn't overly complex but is nicely done.

6 oz draft pour at Lures Bar & Grille. I don't understand the sky-high ratings for this beer. It has nice tart blueberry flavor with light bready malt, but IMO it doesn't really stand out among other blueberry fruited kettle sours, and more to the point, the taste doesn't scream "blueberry muffin." Great beer for a warm spring day, though.

Poured from a 16 ounce can dated 12/12/22 into a tulip glass.
Look- Dark amber, hazy, off white frothy head, below average head retention and lacing.
Smell- Blueberry, slight muffin, medium strength of scent.
Taste- Blueberry, doughy, sour, medium strength of flavor.
Feel- Medium body, sour, average carbonation.
Overall- Look was dark amber with below average head retention and lacing. The bouquet was pleasant, but very simple and not powerful enough for me. Flavor was also simple and would have benefited from more strength. This beer had a medium body with average carbonation. Overall this beer was good, but definitely didn’t live up to the price point.
