The smell of this beer right when I opened the can was ridiculous. So on point for a breakfast aroma - french toast slathered in maple syrup and also reminded me of the old french toast crunch cereal smell. Aroma fades somewhat in the glass but still nice. The flavor is spot on with the aroma, lots of dark roasty notes, maple, hint of cinnamon, then vanilla and more roasty slight bitter character in the finish. not cloying at all. Easy to drink!

Closest analogue I've had is Nervous Energy from Tree House, which has that same French Toast Crunch Cereal character that is very prevalent throughout. Maple character is a bit Aunt Jemima, but it kinda works here

Pours deep black, small tan head with low retention and some spotty lacing.

Rich, thick maple syrup covered French toast aroma, pretty much nailed it. Probably the best maple syrup aroma I've come across in a stout.

Taste brings out more of the vanilla and cinnamon with just the slightest bit of noticeable heat. Delicious and not overbearing on the spiciness level.

Feel is medium with very low carbonation that fades quickly; wish it was a bit fuller in body.

Overall, liquid french toast is the perfect description for this stout.

Really enjoyed this one. Canned on 01/09/20.

Not the darkest beer I've seen, but pretty close. Not too much lacing. Thin khaki head.

Smell is really good, it is just like French toast slathered in maple syrup. Don't get too much cinnamon.

The flavor is where this beer really shines though, and the cinnamon is present. Still, the dominant flavor is maple, followed by cinnamon, then a touch of vanilla on the finish. Good mouthfeel and not cloying at all.

Overall, it binds together nicely for a tasty stout that would be perfect for breakfast if you were in the mood for French Toast, or any other time. Solid.
