Bottle:
Poured a brilliant amber-red with a smallish of-white cap that lasted fairly well and laces the glass.
Aromas of caramel malts, leafy hops and earthiness...nice nose to this one.
Big chew on sweetish caramalt in the front then the willemette hops balance with resinous botanical bittering. This rides to the finish where it turns the drink dry and moderately bitter.
A well crafted amber. Nice quaffer.

Kinda weird they have the same name for two different (allegedly) beers. A pale ale and a red ale. Ok.
This one is darker than pale, lighter than red. Bland taste, again, malt bigger than pale, but lesser than red. Lots of wood, some bitterness, not a lot of hop flavor. It is what it is.
