Notes:
One-off batch minus the lupulin powder and gel. Featuring citrus, tropical fruit, resiny pine and subtle black tea notes, this double IPA is an amped up version of another one of our favorite IPAs, Lonely Weekend. This brew celebrates Citra and Idaho 7 hops. Long Live Beer!

Poured from a 16oz can into a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a thin white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains strong piney hops, fruity citrus and caramelized malts.
T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of fruity citrus and caramel. Then a strong piney hops bitterness comes in. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and provides a very good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and very smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Very tasty, goes down quite easily, not too filling, good kick, very good representation of style, this is a very good DIPA to drink for a long time.

16oz. can served in a Spiegelau IPA glass. Pours a milky yellow-orange with a loose, half inch, bright white head that sizzles and pops and slowly disperses towards the edges. Light Citra hops notes in the nose, followed by an earthy/herbal quality towards the back. Taste consistent with nose; however, much more assertive and quite enjoyable. Finishes with a slightly medicinal bitterness. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body (but closer to light) with an assertive carbonation that leaves a residual burn at the back of the throat between quaffs. Really quite tasty. Can't wait to see what it tastes like with the lupulin powder and gel in the next batch.

Nearly straw yellow hue, nice subtle ring of head with good lacing. Nice tropical fruit forward aroma, hints of citrus with an orange zest. Nice amount of pinneapple taste, a little citrus in the middle with a piney resinous hop profile in the back end.
