Old style WCIPA from the east coast. Very pleasant start with tons of bitter hops (partly pellets) nice foam head and optimal carbonation. Satisfying aftertaste with citrus. Bravo!

Very pleased that this is basically a west coaster. Big piney and floral nose. Sharp hop bitterness early, soft water, malt body, and leads into an ever drinkable, malty but supremely bitter finish. Classic west coast take, with a New England-ish vibe all throughout.

Someone left a few of these behind from a recent party and I'm glad they did. Passed this by many times in stores and pleasantly surprised to find this quite tasty. All the old-school IPA notes of pine and citrus hit very smoothly. Fairly clean and slightly bitter finish. Nice.

my first from these guys is a total winner, even if its more robust than i usually seek as a boat beer, which is the context in which i enjoyed this one. its piney and old school, copper malty and bitter, really fresh and flavorful, i would think centennial or cascade or columbus or some combination of that sort of thing are what gives this its teeth, and i really do miss this sort of ipa, a dying breed these days. there is balance here, the grain has a toasted note and a little front end sweetness, while the hops bitter it up pretty intensely but bridge the gap with an oily mouthfeel that pulls the hops up and the grain back, a neat trajectory for this. its fuller bodied but its not heavy, its well carbonated and there is nothing in the flavor from the yeast here at all, so this drinks at a decent pace. it warms up pretty well too, but gets increasingly bitter. some gin botanicals come out, christmas tree, bitter grapefruit, and maybe a hint of more tropical hop character too. beer drinkers beer here, robust and delicious. i will be on the lookout for more of their stuff next time i am back east. vintage american ipa here, reminds me of simpler times...

12 oz can PKG 11/11/19
Opened and reviewed on 12/4/19
This was a standard IPA for a few years... Not sure how or why I never reviewed it! Take me back, take me back...
A mostly clear golden and copper color with a towering white cap, formed very tight and creamy.
Amber scented malts, honey and white bread aromas pop out first. Peppery pine and dried leaves of Autumn for the hoppy nose. Bold enough for the classic West Coast style.
Bitter pine and dried leaves is exactly what the hops provide flavor wise with the first sip. Grainy wheat and amber style malted barley seems to be soaked in honey white bread. A peppery, dry earthy flavor and sharp mouthfeel pumps up the complexity.
Original review first, then the 2nd review from Untapped:
Medium bodied, crisp and then smooth with crazy dry edges and bitter a finish.
Spot on West Coast classic brewed Manchester, NH.

A very classic western style IPA. Crunchy mouthfeel, full of piney and sharp citrus peel flavored hops, amber and golden malt that give that classic balance. This is a go-to in a pinch. Excellent supermarket level ale. Great for taking on hikes.
