Notes: Frambuesa de la Casa is derived from our foeder-aged Saison de la Casa aged for 10 months and re-fermented on a high concentration of fresh picked raspberries grown in Oxnard, California. Following several months of re-fermentation Frambuesa was back blended to the preferred balance of berry and sour beer with red wine barrel aged Saison de la Casa.

my first beer from this highly intriguing brewery is a good one. its beautifully deep bright red in color, thick with sediment almost milky looking, but fully rose colored, few beers achieve this level of color saturation with fruit. there isnt a ton of head, but its still sexy. the aroma is fantastic too, with a tang to it that is both microbial and fruit derived, and nice fusion of similar properties from different sources. some funk too, this is more than just sour, obviously wood matured, and with an appreciable saison strain character too, which i think is less common than it should be in the style and a real nice touch, especially in the flavor. fruit first here, all raspberry, pumped up or pureed, even concentrated, it has some sweetness too, but its not too much, and its cut nicely by the souring cultures, which are mature here and lend quite the pucker. wood smoothes the edges and adds a layer, and the red wine aspect is quite forward compared to expectations, tannic with notes of cherry and even fresh cranberry, seemingly from the wine. nice complexity in the style, and awesome blend and a nice control of the wild stuff. this has me thirsty for more beers from these guys!

750ml bottle. Served in a snifter glass. Pours a beautiful medium reddish body, one finger white head, good retention and no lacing. Thin collar, eventually becomes still-looking. In some ways this looks like Atrial Rubicite. Smells of rich jammy raspberry and moderate acetic acidity, not much funk, light oak, a bit of earth. Flavour follows, rich jammy raspberries are prominent here. Moderate acetic acidity which isn't overpowering and integrates well with the raspberry fruit. A bit of oak, not too much, but it's there. Light mineral. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, good carbonation, moderately acetic on the finish. A very tasty raspberry wild, the fruit is expressed very nicely here.

Pours a clear peachy ruby with quickly disappearing bubbles. Smell is full of wet and fresh raspberry, some oak tannins, acidic earthiness and sour herb. Taste has tremendous depth with the sour raspberry, carrying all the way through with power. Supporting oak is larger than in smell, mineral and herb elements combine for slight balsamic middle taste, finishes sweet, juicy and sour. Body is a little coarse and thin for style, has medicinal elements, but highly drinkable despite high level of acidity.

This beer has a beautiful red color , smells amazing as well then you sip it and get this great funk and sourness that just works well all combined with the acidity of the mouthfeel but very well balanced I'm definitely going to pop another one in a few months to see if there's any change but right now this is perfect cheers y'all
