L: Pours a dark brown/black with a thick tan finger and a half of head.

S: Some burnt toasty malts.

T: Malty, toasty, roasted malts, a little smoky even. Very tasty.

F: Moderate carbonation, medium to full body.

O: Didn't remind me of the beers I drank through out England, but still this is a tasty, easy drinking brew that we need more of.

On tap at Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a dark-ish golden brown, with a small head, and a good bit of lacing.

This smells like chocolate, sweet breadiness, toasted malt, and slight smoke.

This is absolutely delicious. You never see this style anymore, and Suarez has absolutely nailed it. It's so creamy and full tasting for the low ABV- lots of malty goodness- chocolate, toast, sweet grain, and smoke. There's no real hop flavor here.

This is very creamy, and surprisingly full bodied for the ABV. It's amazingly drinkable.

Suarez continues to floor me with how good these beers are.

It's difficult to find darker beers that don't disappoint on flavor, but also don't sag you down, when it's 90 degrees in late September, in upstate NY. This beer doesn't skimp on flavor like some in favor of watery dreariness.

Rather it's full of carbonation, silky, light-med feel is great with a light toasted toffee, mildly bitter cocoa finish. Plum and raisin fruitiness finds their proper place. The malt and yeast really combine for something nice here. Dark chestnut brown appearance, tight mocha head make for a special beer.
