This is my first Suarez Bros. beer that my beer pall muled home to MD from trip to VT. Very gratious on the pitstop he made at Suarez. So this beer really hits all the perfect marks for a German Kolsch. The balance of the grain malts and crisp hops is spot on and so flavorful. Mouthfeel is soft like a NEIPA but plenty of carbonation. If you are a fan of Kolsch style, this is the pinacle of greatness IMO.

From a can purchased at Suarez a week prior

A: Pours a brilliant yellow with a white effervescent head. The head remains and leaves fine lacing on the glass
S: Lemon, unripe grapes, slight hoppy pine
T: Fruit, lemongrass, limestone, grassy, hint of resin
MF: clean dry, crisp
O: This beer is beyond reproach. It is hard to imagine it being any better.

From a 16 oz. can into a snulip glass, this beer pours out a light straw in color with enough small sediment throughout to only allow me to make out the shadow of my finger on the other side of the glass with no details. Pinky width of bone white crown rests on top that leaves sticky lacing throughout the session.

The nose brings a grainy sweetness along with some earthy funk. Notes of wet grass and flower petals along with thick, doughy bread.

The taste carries floral and grassy notes with very faint hints of lemon that isn’t tart or sweet; dried lemon peel maybe. Thick, doughy bread makes another appearance.

It’s superbly clean while offering a soft, pillowy feel and still allowing it to transition into a dry crispness.

Overall, this is another extremely clean offering of a lager from Suarez. Very pleasant.

I've been slowly returning to the lagers that were my gateway into the beer-drinking world and I can think of many standout craft lagers that I'd drink all the time, but this beer takes the cake. This beer is my desert island beer, I think.

Beautiful light golden color, wispy head, it's got all you'd expect from a clean-looking and easy-drinking lager as far as appearance.

The smell is mellow and understated, two adjectives I frequently use with Suarez but they always seem to apply. Sweet bread notes and a fresh bouquet. Simple.

The taste is marvelous and I'd like to stop there rather than try to pin down the various flavors I am picking up, simply because I find it difficult to specifically identify them. Still, there's a bright mineral flavor, sweet bread notes and a notably fruity presence. Please don't ask which fruit. It's a wonder of flavors swirling around and I can assure you'll just want to drink more and more and thus, won't find that a 4-pack is sufficient stock.

The dryness, the sweetness, the slight prickle and bitterness, all work in superb combination and result in a satisfyingly crisp beer that is so easy to drink you'll finish a sixteener without ever having stopped to try to pick out the flavors and feel and all that jazz...and that's just how it should be.

Killer beer.
