Hazed light golden colour, one finger of white head and some lace. Smell is hoppy, citrus fruit, grapefruit and orange at the forefront, a bit of light onion/shallot character in the hops, virtually no detectable malt. Taste is fruity with a big hop flavour, restrained bitterness, grapefruit and lemony citrus, dry clean finish. Lightly carbonated, light medium body. Quite nice, something I could come back to.

Bottle from the brewery. Served in a Bellwoods snifter.
A - A finger-plus of white foam settles to a near-complete cap, thick collar, and splotchy lacing. Pale straw body with a bit of haziness to it.
S - A ton of Simcoe and Citra flavor. The flavors aren't terribly surprising, but the intensity is fantastic; the aroma just leaps out of the glass. Honey and pils malt backdrop supports huge, tropical and citrus fruits. Some floral perfume notes in the mix as well. I've haven't had a low-ABV beer this punchy since Hill Farmstead's Walden.
T - Taste is similarly great. Tastes like a 5% pale ale; great citrus, tropical, and zesty, piney flavors. Fairly neutral, crackery malt supports the hops, imparting a kiss of honey sweetness.
M - Surprising heft, with a solid medium body of a much bigger beer. Creamy, chewy, and soft, with carbonation on the lower side of moderate. Light lingering stickiness on the palate.
D - If this is really 2.7% it's brilliant. Has a great aroma like Stay Classy, but more heft and complexity as well. The taste isn't revolutionary, but it's on par with quite a few other local beers with a lot more alcohol content. I would happily crush this all summer long.
