Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours orange yellow with a fluffy white head. Smells of citrus hops, not overly strong, but inviting. Tastes of sweet grain with citrus hops and just a hint of floral hops. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a good beer.

A little hard to rate because I suspect the issue is just personal taste — it is put together well enough — but the note that stands out sore-thumbish among others is a kind of catty and oniony one (citra?) mixed with kind of overripe tropical fruit, and it doesn’t sing for me, even though I find it kind of interesting....the pine resin and bright tropical fruit promised in the note take a turn, I guess, and it isn’t one I dig completely. No bite to the hops on the mouthful, but there is a nice balance, and the mouthful is just right with respect to carb and fullness.

Appearance: Pours very hazy and amber colored with a full three fingers of foam; excellent stickage and spotty lacing
Smell: Floral and tropical, with pineapple and pink grapefruit tones; a slightly grassy edge, as well
Taste: Hints of caramel and honey lay the base, but the hops quickly emerge in tropical glory, bringing pineapple, guava and pink grapefruit; grassy, and somewhat oniony, through the middle, with moderate bitterness emerging, after the swallow
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: There is a lot to like in this IPA; other than the oniony/grassy finish, I really enjoyed it
Thanks, SPLITGRIN, for the opportunity

Medicinal smell and taste. The color is great but in my opinion it goes down hill from there. I can only equate this to chloraseltic of IPAs. I suggest you walk on past this beer and don't look back.

Sun kissed golden with an orange tint, the ale settles into the glass with an unsettling clarity. Brilliant and bright, the beer's frothy cap is fluid and flowing- freeing up the perfume of citrus, tropical and herbal scents. Caramel, honey and grain align on the front of the tongue like nutty graham cracker.
As the hop-derived fruitiness unfolds on the palate, its perfume trends flavorful with pink grapefruit, fresh orange peels, pineapple and mango before trending bitter with pine and fresh grass clippings. With the sweetness retreating, its the hops that win out with their bright and floral taste and its smooth and gripping bitterness.
Medium-bodied and semi-dry, the beer's hallmark IPA character is subtle and balanced, not allowing for complete hop domination or submissive malt sweetness or body. Its that attitude that gives the beer complexity and intrigue and will prove to be a food-friendly taste but might leave the serious hop-heads wanting more.

Had a flight of 4 beers at the new brewpub just last week. This was the best one I had and is a pretty reasonable example of the style. Decent hop profile.
