poured from a 1pt. 9.4 fl. oz. caged and corked brown bottle – not dated
Ommegang Game of Thornes; Valar Dohaeris poured a 1 ½ finger off-white bubbly head that sat atop of a bright gold body. The head held very well and produced nice chunks of lacing on the walls of my tulip glass. Fine bubbles of carbonation raced to the fluffy head. The sweet honey aroma and candy sugar was followed by the scent of light fruit [peach, pear, banana]. The taste matches the nose with a peppery clove noticed at first sip. The mouth feel is rich, crisp and is high medium to full bodied with a dry finish.
Overall, the Triple is very enjoyable. Brewery Ommegang never disappoints!

Poured from 750 mL bottle into tulip.
A: Pours a slightly hazy yellow-orange hue with active carbonation jets fueling a 2-3 inch frothy/rocky white head with excellent retention.
S: Fresh Belgian yeast with white pepper, fruity esters, vanilla, honey, apple, and hints of pear and a vinous note.
T: Fresh Belgian yeast, honeyed malt, white pepper, apple, pear, warming spice, herbal mint, and almond.
M: Light-medium body. Effervescent, refreshing, and lively. Sweet, but not overly so. Peppery and warming spice. Amazing balance. Lingers nicely on the palate.
D: Amazingly approachable, very well constructed, and with good complexity. Superb for style. Well done, Ommegang!

I don't see a date listed on the bottle.
Appearance: The body is a cloudy golden-orange color. The head is large and slightly off-white. It has a creamy textured head that is marred with craters and large balloons of carbonation. Decent retention but not much for lacing.
Aroma: Spicy hops with wild grasses and wild flowers. White pepper and somewhat old cardboard aromas. It smells mature.
Taste: Pepper comes up first and it is whacked out of the way by a massive clove flavor. This is followed by a slightly sweet flavor of very, very light caramel. There are notes of bay leaf and a hint of thyme. There is an earthy moss flavor towards the last bit of the middle of the tongue and the first bit of the back of it. There are slightly toasted notes in the aftertaste, along with a stronger spicy pepper flavor.
Mouthfeel: Light, effervescent, brisk and crisp, fuzzy, and enjoyable. Very easy to drink.
Overall: Ommegang really brought their A game to this beer. It's unbelievably good. The beer is expertly crafted and it delivers not only memorable flavors and aromas, but memory crafting flavors and aromas. If you want to put a stamp in time, this is the right beer for the job. I highly recommend it for any memorable events such as weddings or family reunions. It is likely to outshine or upscale the food you have planned. I highly recommend it and I would love to drink it again.

Poured from a bottle- murky dark orange/gold with lots of particulate matter and big fluffy white head leaving lots of foamy lacing. Not sure how old this is ,Costco special @$8. Nose is sweet and yeasty. Taste follows with banana, honey and spice. Finish is quite carbonated and then almost dry. ABV well hidden.Much better than expected.
