12 oz bottle with a thin layer of sediment on the bottom served in a Belgian snifter.
Pours cloudy, yellow-golden with a pure white head. Very good lacing.
Aroma: tart and fruity with citrus notes dominating.
Flavor: mildly tart, very lightly bitter with a fine mix of tropical fruit notes.
Feel: light but not watery body with medium+ soft carbonation.

Ommegang hits it out of the park again!!! This one has loads of dry slightly tart tropical fruit and Belgian yeast flavor and aroma! The body is light crisp and effervescent. I think this would pair wonderfully with some good Spanish Manchego cheese and almonds or candied walnuts and dried fruit.

Brewery Ommegang "Fruition"
12 fl. oz. brown glass bottle, "BESTBY9/2017" and sampled on 12 June 2017
$2.79 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ

Notes via stream of consciousness: Nice looking label. I wonder if all of that fruit is actually included? Looks like kiwi, papaya... ah, yes, it's listed right underneath "DRY-HOPPED WIT BEER BREWED WITH PASSION FRUIT, MANGO, AND KIWI". I guess this is the real deal then as there's no mention of flavorings. OK, great looking beer: hazy straw gold body with a bit of a brass cast beneath a creamy bright white head that seems to be holding really well. The aroma is fruity and phenolic with lots of clove, plastic, and spice. It's also mineralish with citrus pith and/or yeast. I think I'd prefer more fruit, but that's OK, and the only thing I wonder about are the dry hops. Where are they? There's some leafy and grassy character to it but I doubt that's the hops. Maybe the hops are fruity and they're just blending in. The flavor is fairly sharp, not exactly what I'd call tart, but close, and I'm tasting each of the fruits although they don't really stand out that clearly. That's cool, those are accents to the whole, not the main components. The wheaty malt is clear, and the fruit floats around that. Nicely balanced by the mild acidity and low level bitterness, it's refreshing. Light bodied and gently effervescent with a very fine-bubbled median carbonation that's seemingly natural. Looking back it's still got a creamy, solid surface covering, and some very nice lacing. Interesting, and unusual, and certainly refreshing.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a cloudy bright yelliw color with a large white head. The aroma is salty fruit. The taste is salty bad fruit. Not a great beer.

Pours an effervescent straw color with 2 fingers of pearl colored head. Hazes as the bottle drains. Better tahn average head retention & stellar lacing

S: Grassyness & wet hay, alittle mango when warm

T: Passion fruit, mango, restrained tartness& a little white pepper up front. A little coriander shows as this warms , along with some peach & mango, plus dryness, I also get a little muscadine. Finishes a little dry, crisp with mango & passion fruit & just a trace of tartness

MF: Medium body, delicate carbonation

Drinks very easy, super-refreshing

L: Hazy translucent pale yellow with an enormous rocky white head. Long-lasting retention and sheets of lacing. Beautiful beer.

S: Generic tart tropical fruit--though none specifically forward. A hint of passion fruit. Banana, lemon, green apple, cracker, hay, and coriander are there. Airy and refreshing.

T: Lemon zest and green apple upfront. A hint of passionfruit and green grape. Some green banana, and then cracker, drying hay, and a hint of coriander/clove. Slightly tart upfront, and slightly dry on the finish.

F: Medium-light. A bit thin, in my opinion. Fairly well carbonated. Drinks easy, but I wish it had more body for a witbier.

O: A nice refreshing witbier. Not as forward on the tropical fruits as it advertises, but overall still a pleasant and refreshing beer.

Pale cloudy yellow with awesome light fizzy head and great spotty lacing. Aroma is fresh citrus with malt. Taste is crisp and clean with lemon and a great balance of all ingredients. Finish clean and once again, citrus.
