Candi Stout is our fusion of a Belgian dark ale and a classic stout. A rich blend of roasted malts is blended with cocoa nibs and candi syrup (traditionally used in Belgian abbey ales) during brewing resulting in a wonderfully drinkable stout with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and a hint of sweetness. A surprisingly light mouthfeel and effervescent carbonation deliver a sessionable drinkability not often found in stouts today.

Pours a deep chocolate brown with a thick one and a half finger beige head atop, that settles nicely into a frothy mass after quite some time.Mild yeast phenols and dark roast coffee in the nose, not real big in the aroma department. The feel has a whipped 'airy' lightness to it wich is very nice.More earthy and roasted on the palate, there is some chocolate but it's of the dark bitter variety, very drinkable. The name might be a little misleading, there is candied sugar yes but it's on the drier side...wich isn't bad by any means.

Served in a flute from the bottle.
Appearance: Semi thick black body with a brown tinted body. Tan head which rose thick roughly almost two fingers length.
Smell: Super light malt with hint of espresso.
Taste: Bitter coffee with touch of malt. Had bitter dark chocolate feel.
Mouth: Dry feel with bitter finish. Carbonation is medium at best coming off a bit heavy.
Overall: Descent brew, you know I can see a barrel aged version of this coming soon but you never...the slight tweaking could make this a classic.
