Saison Rosé is a delicate blend of Belgian-style saisons--one aged in oak barrels, the other brewed with hibiscus flowers and co-fermented with Chardonnay grape juice. Fruity, tart and dry with abundant effervescence and pale pink hue.

Pours clear until the yeast is added. Hazy, blood orange, with pink highlights. The head is big, with slightly pinkish-white coloring. A firm foam holds three inches for several minutes. Light patches of lace are deposited on the Pretentious Beer Glass Company Pub tulip glass. After five minutes, the head is entirely dissipated.
Earthiness quickly yields to fruit. Cranberries, cherries, limes, and grapes become a single flavor, similar to Juicy Fruit gum. Warmth reveals herbal qualities. Yeast is more earthy than spicy or barn yard.
The flavor is better without the yeast, because the yeast adds light astringency. Either way, the fruitiness is far more subdued in flavor than in the aroma. Pepper and herbal dualities are stronger with the yeast. A long, strong finish is more bitter than expected.
A medium body with a coarse nylon texture. Carbonation blooms with each sip to lighten the mouthfeel. Alcohol is as expected.
Without the bottle yeast, this beer scores better on flavor. Still, it is enjoyable, and I look forward to drinking the other bottles without the yeast. This beer is Springtime in a glass, and pairs well with a sunny April afternoon.

Ommegang Saison Rose pours into my glass slightly hazy medium amber in color with rose highlights. The head is dense, two fingers deep and lasting.
Taking my first sniff, the aroma on this saison is delicate, floral, and pleasantly perfumed. The aroma starts off floral, with an underlying mustiness that reminds me of a dusty old attic. All wood, dust, and cobwebs, but in a very enticing fashion. This is where I pick up hints of ripe pear and yeast. All of this is held together by a peppery, Belgian funkiness you might look for in a delicate style of beer like this.
Ommegang Saison Rose starts off bone dry, reminding me again of that old attic where the beer might have been kept and aged for so many years. Mouthfeel builds towards the center giving me flavors of ripe fruit mingling seamlessly with the beer’s inherent dryness. Flavors in the middle give me peach, ripe berry, and a subtle yeastiness holding the whole thing together. Ommegang’s mouthfeel is smooth, slightly rounded in the middle, with a lingering dry finish that only make one thirst for more.

A; cloudy; orangish pink in color; 1 finger finely pored very pale pink head that receded to a thin cap; nice lacing;
S: rosé with a hint of Belgian yeast;
T: saison up front with rosé building from the middle; by the aftertaste, it's all rosé;
M: light to medium bodied; moderate to high carbonation; dry finish;
O: I liked the aroma more than the flavor; didn't notice any oak character;

A finger's worth of light whipped uber creamy off-white head... Excellent retention... Lots of rapid paced carbonation rises within... Guava colored... Nose is slightly sweet with notes of grapes and sugars... Interesting flavor profile... All the tell tale signs of saison are present along with notes of white wine, grapes and pear... Medium bodied... Loads of prickly carbonation... An interesting and enjoyable saison to say the least... If the mouth feel was a bit less firm and carbonated, this one would be word class...

Poured from bottle into tulip, good 3 finger pale pink head, great retention and lacing. Light rose in the glass, clear, but some yeast as I upended the bottle. Belgian esters on the nose, some floral & juicy fruit. Taste is initially slightly tart, hibiscus, belgian esters, juicy fruit after the hibiscus wears off, finish is slightly dry with enough bitterness to finish off the sip. Slight residual vinous left on the palate. Mouthfeel is good.

12 oz bottle. Limited 2019 release. Best by 3/11/2021.
Pours a nice effervescent amber pinkish color. Looks nice. Opaque, with floating sediment.
Tiny bubbles, one finger head, dissipates quickly except around the glass.
Nose is light and fruity, smell of champagne. Chardonnay grapes, yeast, butter, and oak, with slight nose of tart fruit (raspberries?)
Taste - chardonnay really shines through here. Light, oaky, buttery, white grapes, light fruit. Very unique and tasty.
Feel - light, airy, bubbly, and DRY (chardonnay). Pleasant if you like dry! (I do).
Overall - great job! I enjoyed it more and more as I drank the glass. Have to be in the mood for the style, and the chardonnay overtones, but I loved it. And at 7.7%, it drank like a 5% saison. Got a deal for this one for some reason at the beer store - $6.99 4-pack. Well worth it for the taste AND the ABV.

12oz bottle. Label says this beer is a 2019 Limited Release.
Cloudy, rose amber colored body, with dregs at the bottom of the glass. Three fingers of white head settle back to a thin cap. Leaves thick rings of lacing.
Aroma of yeast, grapes and vinous.
Taste is yeast, floral, grapes, and green apple. The yeast balances well with any tartness. Dry at the end.
Thicker mouth feel. Excellent carbonation.
The blend of different beers along with the grapes definitely show up in the end product. Certainly is a variation on a theme.

12 oz bottle
2019
Boiler Brandy snifter
Has a peachy rose blush with a tall creamy cap of 2 fingers, receding to 1. No lace.
Aroma of cellar, rose petals, hibiscus, orange, blueberry, blackberry, floral notes, dry grass, and more rose petal.
Flavor brings some hibiscus, cherry, orange gummy, and very light floral notes. Empties out towards the end, with splashes of water and dry grass.
Feel is very carbonated, very effervescent, surprisingly low alcohol heat for the ABV, and has a general oak mustiness about it.
Overall not incredible but still a nice beer. For fans of wine and saisons. Very refreshing, nice fruity complexity.

-Barrel aged with Chardonnay grape juice.
A: Dark, burnt orange coloring, very dense like clarity, filled with an equally dense amount of carbonation bubbles. A beautiful crown, solid foam, light tan color, is a solid two fingers high shows great resilience. Small lash lacing.
S: Wine like aroma, the grape juice really comes through. Lightly tart, berry like, not a lot of complexity, but very soothing, perfumy and relaxing.
T: Tart and fruity flavor, loads of grape juice and perfumy barrel like tones. Dried cherries and bread, some tart apples, yeasty, with damp grains. Rose water with damp floral and cranberries that is very well defined.
M: Creamy soft mouthful, massaging tiny bubbles on the tongue. Tart and acidic, leaves a pleasant lingering grapey-wheat musky fade.
O: Very smooth and yeasty with a tart and fruity flair drinking like a fine wine. Relaxing consumption, savor the after fell with every sip.
