Bought a variety 3-pack from Sam's Club $19.99 22oz bottle
Popped like a campaign cork
Hazy, golden brown color
Medium-heavy mouthfeel
Medium--high carbonation
Fruit and malt tastes, some alcohol aftertaste
Overall a really great brew. Nice to sip on like a wine to enjoy the complex flavors.

OMMEGANG BLONDE ALE 10/4/17

Not sure if this is the same brew known here as Gnomegang and listed as a Belgian Strong Pale Ale, due to the name "Blonde Ale" on the bottle rather than simple "Gnomegang" and the face the bottle label is blue with a different gnome than the one just named Gnomegang. Same yeast (Chouffe) and ABV (9.5) and similar review descriptions of appearance and flavor, so may be the same one. Or not.

Poured from the 12 oz. bottle into a Unibroue stemmed pilsner.

a: Translucent orange with an inch thick white head which receded to thick even surface foam and patchy lacing.

s: Belgian yeast leaning to banana and pear.

t; Follows the nose, some hop or alcohol bite on a dry finish. Slight throat burn and stronger alcohol notes as it warms are the only indications this has such a high ABV.

m; Medium or a bit more, very good body and some carbonation tingle.

o: A substantial-tasting Belgian blonde, refreshing yet rather hefty. Gives an impression of quality all the way.

Another home run for Ommegang. The look is a slightly hazy gold with a nice foamy one-inch head that quickly dissipates leaving strong lacing. The nose is full of herbs, fruit, clove, and cardamom. The taste is wonderful. Fruit dominates the front with pepper and herbs followed by at the end. The mouthfeel is strong carbonation and bubbles that remind me of Brooklyn's Sorachi Ale. You do get a champagne dryness on the finish yet there is a crisp quality as well. Overall, this is a great interpretation of the Belgian style. Now, go get a Tulip, a bottle or two, and enjoy.

One of my favorites from Ommegang, with an impressive amount of clove, orange, and cardamom on the palate for not having any spices in the ingredients listing. Easy drinking for 9.5%, with a nice floral character complementing the spices.

Poured into a pint glass.

L- Dark yellow and cloudy with 1 finger of head.
S- Strong fruit flavors up front, lots of citrus and lemon.
T- Nice malt flavors with fruity undertones.
F- Carbonated upfront, with slighty dryness.
O- One of my favorites from Ommegang. Great Belgian Blonde Ale.

Poured from a single-serve into a tulip

Pours a spectacular hazy apricot-gold with a nice foamy head that quickly subsides in favor of pretty nice lacing all of the way down the glass.

Tropical fruit is an immediate presence on the nose, along with yeast, white pepper, herbs, and booze.

The flavor is fruity at the front, with white peppery notes and a bit of medicinal quality in midstream, with orange and lemon peel, herb, and a rather boozy finish. The yeast is there but maybe a bit subdued. I can't decide whether this skews sweet or bitter/medicinal, which means it is probably pretty darn balanced.

The mouthfeel could hardly be better. The carbonation is strong, with fine bubbles that impart a champagne lightness and dryness. There is plenty of malt and fruit in this brew but it finishes fairly crisp.

Overall, Ommegang has another pretty solid take on a Belgian style on its hands. This isn't a Duvel but it's pretty darn good. Would recommend and have again.
