Pours a cloudy yellow with a large white head. The head does stick around for some time, and is also quite thick.

Smell is sweet at first, malt and yeast are very present. Also a bit of citrus on the nose.

Lot of flavor from this one. Fruity at first, apricot, peach, and orange. There is some Belgian funk there from the yeast behind all that. Getting hints of pepper at the finish, and a bit of warming.

Real nice active feel to this one. I am reminded of the line, it's like there's a party in my mouth and everyone's invited.

Overall, this beer is a winner. Lot of flavor, easy drinking, nice feel. I am a big fan of both breweries that came together for this one, and the beer does not disappoint. One of the best I have had from Ommegang, will definitely be getting more of this.

Poured 12oz bottle into snifter glass. 9.5% abv

Appearance- Pours a bright yellow/orange peach type of color. Two finger thick white head. Very cloudy which makes this beer opaque in terms of clarity.

Smell- Rich, sugary belgian yeast. Dark fruits like plums and dates. Floral.

Taste- The sugars of the Belgian yeast really shine through on this one. Very sweet. Quite fruity with a tart plum flavor. Some raison like qualities arrive as well. The yeast goes all the way through the taste profile but some hoppy bitterness is present towards the end as well.

MOuthfeel- Heavy in body. The warming effect from the alcohol is noticeable.

Overall- A nice showcase of Belgian yeast. There is plent of it here. A Strong ale for sure. Well done. Definitely a sipper.

Delicious and wonderful smelling, but the yeast sediment kind of throws me off. I know it's supposed to be there, but still...
Also, how did they hide all that alcohol? No burn at all.

Opaque golden body with an off-white head. Fruity, earthy, yeasty, pear and green apple tart notes. Hides its 9.5% ABV nicely with flavor.

I picked this up as a mix and match sixer. Ommegang has always been good to me, so I am looking forward to trying this. A solid brewery paired up with a gang of Belgian gnomes? I fail to see a bad part in this equation. Side poured with standard to light vigor from the bottle into a Sam Adams glass.

Appearance - I am 100% not kidding when I say this could be one of the most dominating, impressive presentations I have ever seen out of any beer. Foams up with a giant soapy two and a half finger head that lasts for a large part of the beer, and leaves wicked lacing. The sediment and yeast in the bottle separates after you pour it, forming a clear golden beer at the bottom of the glass that gets hazier as you get towards the head. Truly an impressive presentation, I don't know how you could top it.

Smell -The nose is full of big yeasty notes, breads, floral attributes, and just a warm, this-beer-is-gonna-be-awesome scent. Very complex.

Taste - Big breads, big yeast, some spices, and a bit of fruit. This is a complex, well-balanced, incredible example of this style. I could not rave more about how impressed I am.

Mouthfeel - Finishes smooth, clean, refreshing. ABV is completely masked by the beers amazing taste, nose, and complexity.

Overall - This was a total surprise. While I figured it would be a good beer, I had no idea it would be quite that impressive. I was completely taken aback by its quality. The store manager at the place I went to may not know what he has on his hands, so I will probably go buy him out of this stuff. Absolutely Condor recommended and approved.
