I got a can of this beer from the brewery. It poured a hazy golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had bold ripe fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bitter citrus presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Saftig pours a hazy bright straw color, with not much head. Tropical fruit aromas. Nice creamy body, lots of tropical fruits flavors, dry, lots of flavors. Good body and feel. Overall, easy drinking, yet very flavorful, lots of dry tropical fruits.

Crowler from the brewery, filled 7/27 consumed 8/8.

Hazy pale orange, compact head of lasting foam that left behind some lacing.
Aroma of citrus peel, grapefruit and orange, moderately fruit forward.
Taste is citrusy as well with a mild bitterness, grapefruit and orange peel.
Light to medium body with a creamy smooth "saftig" soft feel.
Overall this was great, 2nd only to Mjau Mjau, which sadly was draft only.

On tap at the brewery. Hazy orange. Smells of a variety of hops. Citrus, melon, grape, garlic. Tastes of orange, the white grape, some pale malt sweetness, and finally a bit of garlic. No bitterness. Medium body. Very good. Needs a touch of bitterness to elevate it, though.

Great NE style hazy, juicy IPA. I'm really liking this beer. I know a Pulpit put out a vanilla stout not long ago that got tons of hype but this beer was great

Had this on tap at the Taproom

A: Pours a slightly hazy, pale orange in color with a one half inch, foamy, paper white head with short retention. Small amounts of white wispy lacing throughout.

S: Great nose on this one. Big tropical fruit notes of pineapple, melons, and guava, as well as citrus notes of orange and grapefruit.

T: Taste matches nose almost exactly with notes of pineapple, guava, and melons accompanied by lighter orange and grapefruit notes. Slight resinous hop bitterness on the finish.

F: Light to medium bodied. Smooth. Crisp with moderate carbonation.

O: Overall, I thought this was a great beer. Flavor is somewhat light, but the profiles are on point and make this beer super crushable. Will definitely be trying this one again in the future.

Big and juicy. Smell welcomes you in and they big fruit hits you up front. Nice bite and bitter after taste are a perfect accompaniment to a solid IPA.

An excellent IPA that lives up to its name - juicy. Very citrusy nose and a very smooth, juicy mouthfeel. Opaque golden hued IPA that rivals the best of Decorah's first brewery, Toppling Goliath. So glad to live in a town with both these two up-and-coming giants of the craft brewing industry. Saftig is unfortunately at this point only locally available, but if the folks at PR keep it up, they'll be every bit the regional powerhouse that their older brother up the road is.

Thick white head that dissipates slow. Nose is of tropical fruit and and green hop leaf. Just enough bitter to balance all that fruit. Amazing balance. Just a great beer start to finish.

At Pulpit. Hazy brew (def cant see through it), with a gorgeous white head and thick yellow/gold body. Smells slighty garlicky/citrus/floral. Huge juice in the first sips with wonderful hop bitter throughout. Thick beer reminiscent with a light stout. absolutely killer ipa and definitely goes along extremely well with toppling up the road a block.

Draft pour at Pulpit Rock. Hazy opaque yellow body with small collar of bone white head. Juicy and citrusy hops in the aroma and flavor. This reminds me exactly of Loopy Lynn only a slightly scaled down version. Minimal hop bitterness and very juicy as well. medium body with moderate carbonation. Juicy hop oils coat your mouth make a fantastic mouthfeel. Midwest beer region is making some seriously juicy hops and I think that Pulpit Rock might just be making better hoppy beers than TG is these days!

Hazy golden yellow--looks like a NE IPA. Slick head dissipates quickly. Pine and citrus nose, tastes of citrus and tropical fruits, with a little spiciness and bitterness. Creamy mouth. Quite good.

Absolutely beautiful beer. Nice citrus aroma and flavor from the hops. Creamy near perfect mouthfeel. There is another great brewery in Decorah Iowa.
