Notes: Imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels then spiked with toasted coconut, roasted almonds and cacao nibs. The big boy version of For The Joy Of Almonds.

5oz served on nitro in a minisnifter at the brewery. Pours a dark brown body with an opaqueness to it, thick one and a half finger brown head with that creamy nitro appearance; this pour was a bit too much as the head retention was a bit long. Still, smell is a nice toasted coconut with milk chocolate and a touch of black coffee and cocoa. Very pleasant, especially as it warms. Flavour is even better, with a mild-moderate amount of coconut on the backend, cocoa, milk chocolate, touch of marshmallow and roast. It works nicely, and the coconut isn't too over-the-top or artificial tasting at all. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, that typical nitro body actually, slightly undercarbonated but appropriate for the beer itself; mild coconut and chocolate lingers on the backend.

Had a 5oz. pour from the taproom on January 13, 2017.

Amazing taste! The almond and lactose blend beautifully into this stout.

Mouthfeel is not as thick as TG stouts, but for this beer the lighter, silky smooth nature of the feel actually accentuates the milky flavor. Excellently done.
