Smell is similar to a funky urine smell. Tough to get past the scent. Especially if the beer is mediocre, like this kolsch is.

Pours a crystal clear light yellow golden color with white head. Cereal grains, grass, hay, and some light citrus notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light bodied. Finishes pretty crisp and clean with a cereal grain tone.

This is a great beer. OHB really makes good versions of German style beers. This and Golden Mustache are my new go to session beers of all the local Dallas brews.

Got it in a Texas Craft beer pack at HEB.

Appearance: Hazy yellow glass holds a large white head that takes a bit to settle so I can pour the rest of my beer. Head lasts and laces.

Aroma: Yeasty with a lime rind twist.

Taste: A bit of purple grape juice in a generally tasty beer. Flavor is light and airy, a bit of frothy yeast, hint of malt sweetness, some wet grain, but generally very light and easy drinking.

Mouthfeel: Light body, frothy texture in a medium carbonation. Clean finish.

Overall: Well made, tasty beer. Nothing to write home about but a great lawn mower or outdoor refresher. Impressive show of skill from a new Texas brewery, keep 'em coming!

Draft at the brewery

L: nice Amber/gold color. Small head but I think that may be do to the fact it was served in a plastic cup

S: mild smell that gave a sense of flavor to come but I could not pick out specifics

T: Low on the hop bitterness. I tasted a slight bread flavor and a mild dry alcohol aftertaste

O: I enjoyed this and it went well with the pizza I was eating
