16oz crowler canned at the brewery on 9-18-20. Opened 9-26-20.
Keller / Unfiltered version of Oak Highlands Oktoberfest.
1 finger sand-colored head of dense foam. Falls to a solid cap.
Orange-amber and slightly cloudy. Spotty lacing.
Sweet malt, caramel, toast, hint of baked red apple.
Flavors follow the aroma...there's a bit of spice that's different but for the most part it's a caramelly sweet malty Marzen.
Full body, round mouthfeel. Low-medium carbonation.
Malt driven and medium length finish that's drier than anticipated but still off-dry or semi-sweet - your preference.

From a can produced 8/6/20. Copper color with a finger of tan head. Sweet malt aroma. Medium body and smooth feel. Roasted malt flavors with floral hops on the finish. Very nice!

Strong use of caramel malts make this taste more like a Sam Adams style Oktoberfest rather than a traditional German style Marzen.

Pours a clear reddish coppery color with off-white head. Caramel, malt, bread, cereal, and some hay on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with malty goodness.
