16oz. crowler canned at the brewery today 10-19-19.
1 1/2" sand colored head on a dark brown porter. Very good retention, solid 1/2" minutes after the pour. Small amount of lacing.
Major vanilla hit up front, pipe tobacco, tiny bit of sweet chocolate and maybe dark fruit.
Creamy vanilla, like a coffee drink with very little coffee. Roasted and sweet malt character comes on middle to late. Slight undertone of coffee and chocolate. Vanilla dominates.
Medium body, silky mouthfeel, low carbonation. Off-dry finish. Grippy (almost tannic at first).
Good.

I just had this beer on draft at BuzzBrews downtown Dallas. I thought it was pretty good even though I thought it had too much coffee flavor for a vanilla porter.

Look: dark brown / black with a thin mocca colored head

Aroma: coffee, vanilla

Flavor: Roasted malts, lots of coffee, chocolate, hint of vanilla.

Feel: medium to full body

As expected it pours dark with a head that looks a lot like chocolate milk. There is little to no lacing. Nose hints at vanilla and slightly cola. Taste is more coffee flavor. Good beer. Would like to have more of a vanilla flavor since it is in the name.

From a can. Pours a solid black color with a two finger, tan head that lingers and leaves some lacing down the glass. Nose of vanilla and roasted malt. Taste is vanilla upfront with bitter chocolate and roasted malt acting as roastey backbone. Medium body and low carbonation.
It tasted more developed and was more full bodied than it's ABV let on. The vanilla was upfront without being an overly sweet albatross flavor. Throw in more alcohol and it definitely improves, which means I should get the Imperial Vanilla Porter.
