Fresh 16oz can from the brewery. A bright light gold with smells of grapefruit and pine. Taste follows the smell. Very quaffable. Overall, this is a great extra pale ale, and one of my favorites from Industrial Arts. Better, in my opinion, than amazeballs and NYPA, which is saying a lot.

A pale, crisp, hoppy ale with moderate haze, excellent mouthfeel, and a strong citrus aroma. The flavor has a hint of tangerine and grapefruit. I assume the bittering hops are Citra and the aroma hops are Centennial. Tools of the Trade is unique among APA's for sure. With an ABV below 5, this is definitely one ale you can stick with all day.

Popped the top of this can dated 3/1/18, and poured it into an IPA glass. The nose was like a citrus grove, orange, lemon, grapefruit and some pineapple. Poured relatively clear with just a hint of haze, and produced a big foamy head that had decent retention and produced pleasant lacing. The mouthfeel was a beautiful balance between silky smooth and refreshingly crisp. It’s billed as an XPA (Extra Pale Ale) but it delivers lots of NEIPA flavors without the full haze, chewiness or outright juiciness. The finish is phenomenal, with just a hint of bitter lemon. At just 4.9% ABV, this nicely executed beer would be perfect for warmer weather, and after a session of summer yard work, you could easily reward yourself with two or three of these, depending on the size of your yard—which would almost justify doing yard work more. Almost. Kudos to Industrial Arts Brewing for a solid summer brew.

On tap at the Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a light amber color, completely clear, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

Not sure what this is hopped with- it's reminiscent of maybe Amarillo, some Simcoe and Cascade? There's lots of slightly fruity grassiness, orange peel, clean crackery malt, and some grapefruit.

This tastes so fresh and so clean. It's got such a clean and friendly bitterness, grassy and floral, with some pine, and a bit of grapefruit and peach. Everything is in appropriate amounts, and not too domineering. This is great.

This is light bodied, super crisp and clean in the mouthfeel, with a good level of carbonation.

First beer from Chief's new outfit here- this is great.

Pale gold, good lacing. A bit lighter in the palate than I prefer, but it's delicious and since the alcohol content is relatively low, this problem solves itself. Very floral. I don't taste the bubble gum the reviewer below did, but I agree on all other points. It's 90 degrees and humid in New York City today and I couldn't have chosen better. The right mix of hops and fruit, and being a little light on the palate makes it a little more refreshing on a day like this.

Poured from a can dated 1/25/18 into the test glass.
A - Lemon drop, clover honey yellow, excellent clarity, gentle carbonation feeds an evidence ring of white froth.
S - A touch of citrus rime, fresh cut grass, fresh Baguette, and a hint of apricot.
T - Exceptional, love the malt base on this, Pilsner floor swept comes to mind, the hops are grassy with a touch of tropical element.
M - Light on the palate, clean and very well executed. Carbonation is gentle and just right, the finish is dry and delightful.
O - Wow, what a treat this is, light in body with enough depth and aromatics, All wrapped up in a less than 5% package.
Worth every effort to try.

Poured from a 16 oz. can into a Funk Brewing Teku glass. No date found on the can.

Appearance: An opaque straw colored body with a bright white head full of foamy soap like bubbles.

Aroma: Citrus, grapefruit and lemon. Biscuit malt.

Taste: A little subdued from the aroma, but plenty of lemon and grapefruit with some melon, but definitely a dry malt finish.

Mouthfeel: Light and easy to drink, sessionable to the end.

Overall: A sessionable beer that drinks easy and tastes great to the end. Several of these can easily be put down at a time with a group of friend or on your own.
