Fate Brewing Company - Scottsdale

 

Visited this place with the family and some friends right from the airport to start a holiday vacation in Scottsdale.

Cool feel to the place. Indoor seating was great. Outdoor are looked like a nice option as well.

There was a pretty wide range of brews from a kolsch to imperial stouts and double IPAs (and a few Christmas brews). There were well north of a dozen brews on tap. I ordered a tropical stout and hazy ipa (and sampled quite a few from dining company). All were very solid.

Wait staff was really friendly, attentive, and seemed to know the menu. Lots of help with food/beer delivery made for an efficient, but not rushed, dinner. The big pretzel, tater tots, and Rueben were all solid. Even the kids were happy with a quality burger and pizza.

Maybe just a touch on the spendy side, though it’s hard to tell with the whole Covid thing going on.

 

 

Big sprawling open warehouse place. U-shaped bar seats about 30, with many table and booths and large outdoor patio with it's own bar. 12 beers on tap, the two I had were excellent. Server seemed a bit spacey. Food was very tasty.

 

Being from Michigan... It's sooooo frickin' hot out here (screw the dry heat) in AZ that you could not sanely contemplate 10+% bourbon barrel imperial stouts. McFate has it figured out. Spent an afternoon at the newest location in south Scottsdale. Great beer. Great service. Great food. Full marks. Well done!

Fate South is located in South Scottsdale in an unsuspecting location but does it's very best to make it a fun environment with a simplistic design and decor to fill (or not really fill) the space around. Long interior bar that extends from the interior to the exterior, allowing bartenders to run free in/out. I wish I could remember our bartenders name but I've seen him all over the beer/bar scene and this dude is fantastic! Always genuinely caring, attentive and very positive. Fate's beers don't even need a review, they kill everything they do and we can immediately move on. My only gripe, they gotta keep pumping out the variety now that they have the new space and ability for more batches. I will continue to love these guys and visit the south location due to it's proximity.
