I don't know much about these guys but the hype is real. Happy I was able to find a couple bottles. It pours a nice red color as it should with a half inch of foam. Carb. brings a nice feel. This a really refreshing beer and the fruit is not overwhelming. Wish this had sone funk but it was still one of the better fruit beers I've had locally. Looking forward to seeing what else these guys can come up with.

Bottle: Poured a clear deep bright reddish color ale with a small pink foamy head with limited retention and some minor carbonation. Aroma of fresh raspberry with light tart notes is quite enticing and reminiscent of Girardin Framboise. Taste is a well-balanced mix between fresh raspberry notes with some tart notes, light acidic notes also apparent with some residual sugar also noticeable. Body is about average with good carbonation. I wish I could have access to this beer on a regular basis.

A little ageing apparently helped Brian’s bottle a lot. Pure purple raspberry colour and big aroma. Lovely beer and showcase of raspberry. Amazing flavour for 5%.2015 edition. The 2017 was very good, but not as good.

Purchased this in a corked 500 mL champagne-style bottle. Appearance is a beautiful, clear ruby colour. Really attractive pour.

Carbonation is on the lower side, moderate and still noticeable. First impression: plenty of tang up front, a pleasant but forceful acidity. Aroma is reminiscent of raspberry syrup, or the scent of fresh raspberry jam. Like the appearance, the scent adds a lot to the experience of tasting this one.

Not much in the way of hop flavour or aroma, and I wouldn't expect that given the sour taste -- the oak character adds a lot here, a subtle but very complementary punch in the finish.

Overall, an excellent fruit beer, and a great sour ale from a Quebec brewery. We really need more of the latter around here. I've missed the selection of lambics and sour ales in the USA; will definitely pick this one up again.

Enjoyed at the IBU festival.

Balances between sweet raspberries and mouthpuckering sourness...can taste raspberry seeds, flavor is real and authentic. Wow this is real good stuff :)

Moderate pour yields a 1/2 inch light to medium pink head over a reddish purple body with no lacing. Very nice nose of raspberry and slight oak. Taste mirrors nose with tartness coming along as well. Nice feel and overall a fine offering from the Gaspe Peninsula way up in northeastern Quebec. Santé!

This had an odd nose, which had some soy notes and was unpleasant. The palate was a little better, but the fruit was weak (difficult to even discern the type of fruit) and there was an unpleasant sweetness as well. The palate was very thin and watery. A lot of flaws in this beer. Hopefully they iron these out with subsequent batches.

Cloudy red color with lots of glass clinging activity. No head, no legs. Flavors of fruits like raspberries and cranberries, yeasty, floral and herbal spices. Super bitter, feels rotten and cheesy. Much like a Flanders red, but a little less intense. Thin oily body with a very strong finish of rotten fruits, highly vinous and boozy, astringent, acidic, warming, even burning. Stronger than wine. Overall this is really bad, although if the wanted style is a flanders, then I give it a 3.75. Else my bottle must surely be a bad one. It has no freshness and it's very coarse.

*Update* Tested a new bottle and yes I've had a bad one. Same visually, the smell is still a little rotten and cheesy. The vinous feel is now faint and doesn't feel boozy. Now more candy like, but not really sweet, more sour like a berliner weissbier. Same flavors but much more delicate and pleasant. Still no carbonation, with a weak body, and not very fresh. The quality is alright, but nothing awesome.
