Notes:
Ginger Lemon Radler is a zesty, refreshing take on the tradition of mixing beer with soda or lemonade to create a light, thirst-quenching beverage ideal for warm weather. Radler (literally “cyclist,”) takes its name from active German sportsmen of a hundred years ago, but our version tastes just as good even if you do nothing more strenuous than lifting it to your lips.

I picked up a can of Boulevard's Ginger-Lemon Radler for $1.69 at The Lager Mill. It's pretty hot today and I thought it would be a good time to try a new Radler, so let's see how it goes. 2016 Vintage. Poured from a 12oz can into imperial pint glass.
A- The can looks good, it's got a nice design and it's eye catching. It poured a hazy pale yellow color that took on more of a brighter yellow color similar to lemonade when held to the light with under a half a fingers worth of off white bubbly head that faded to nothing and it didn't really leave and lacing behind. This is an ok looking beer, it seems to be pretty standard looking for the style.
S- The aroma starts off with a lower amount of high sweetness with a sweet candied lemon aroma being the first to show up and it goes into more of a lemonade like aroma with the ginger being noticeable in the background and it had a little bit of ginger ale like aspect to it. Towards the end there's some more sweet malt like aromas with no other malty aroma showing up and it had a typical alcopop aroma. The aroma is ok, it's pretty standard for the style, but it's not very beer like.
T- The taste seems to be fairly similar to the aroma and it starts off with that same higher amount of sweetness with the lemonade flavors being the first to show up and it's just a little lighter than it was in the aroma and it's followed by the ginger which imparts that same ginger ale aspect that I got in the aroma and it's also a little lighter this time. Up next comes a slightly higher amount of medium tartness followed by some malt flavors with some grainy, pale malt and doughy malt flavors with some lingering tartness on the finish with a citrus and lemon like alcopop aftertaste. This is an ok tasting Radler, but to me that flavors to blend that well together.
M- Fairly smooth, a little refreshing, pretty crisp, not too acidic, on the thicker side of being light bodied with a lower amount of high carbonation. This beer has a pretty nice mouthfeel, it;s what I would expect from the style.
Overall I thought this was an ok beer and I thought it was pretty average for the style, nothing really stood out about it except for the things I didn't like and it felt like it was just a little bit of beer mixed with half lemonade and half ginger ale. This beer didn't have the best drinkability, one is more than enough for me. What I like the most about this beer is the mouthfeel, it's pretty nice and it works well with this beer. What I like the least about this beer is the way the flavors blend together, they just clash a little and it isn't a flavor that makes me want to come back for more. I don't think I would buy this beer again and I might turn one down. All in all I wasn't a big fan of this beer, it's ok for the style, but it wasn't something that I really enjoyed. It's one of my least favorite Boulevard beers and it's average at best for the style. Better luck next time guys, this one just wasn't for me.

A nice summer Radler. Not the best I've had but very nice. I drank 5 or six out of my growler while working around the house and never got buzzed. So a nice refreshing beer with out a high alcohol content.

A: The beer is rather hazy light yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high bright white head that died down, leaving a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of ginger are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of ginger along with some hints of lemon citrus.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink and has some refreshing properties. With ginger in the smell and taste, this probably would make for a good pairing with some sushi.

Bright yellow body, moderately hazy. Small white cap. Huge ginger aroma with lemon. Lemon drops and ginger candies. Light sweetness. Light bodied with a delicate, prickly carbonation. Quite flavorful and enjoyable. A great way to kick start a tasting session. Delicious.

A: Pours a hazy pale yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation and a hint of lemon + straw yellow highlights. The beer has a half finger tall fizzy foamy bright white head that quickly reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the majority of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of citrus lemon (more lemonade than just lemon) and light aromas of spicy fresh ginger.
T: Upfront there is a light flavor of grainy malts with a moderate flavor of lemon citrus/lemonade with a light amount of sweetness. That is followed by light to moderate flavors of slightly spicy fresh ginger. Minimal amounts of bitterness in the finish which fades away almost instantly.
M: Light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.
O: Easy to drink and refreshing. Pairs really well with spicy Indian food but I could see it matching well with many different Asian dishes. Enjoyable and very nice on a warm summer evening.

On draft, pours a bright straw yellow with a fluffy white head that sits on the top.
The nose is lemon zest, ginger root, candy, sugar lemonade and more citrus. The flavor is lemonade with some ginger. Very sweet, sugary. Not very acidic which is nice. No alcohol present, just spicy lemonade. Mouthfeel is a little thin.
Overall, not bad but too sweet for this style.
