I picked this up as a special favor from a friend in the business. Very excited to see a championship of any sort return to Kansas City. Side poured with standard vigor from the bottle into the pint glass.

Appearance - One of the most magnificent beers I have ever observed. Strong emotions gazing upon this beers presentation. A massive, four finger head towers over the pour, with excellent head retention over halfway through the drink. So much lacing is present it appears someone has melted glue onto the side of my glass. Pours a hazy yellow color with carbonation bubbles rising to the top. Liquid gold!

Smell - Like a farmhouse, which is to say, kind of like a farm. Grains, yeast, and some funk combined with some lemon notes.

Taste - Lemony funkiness. Some grains, breads, and a cracker-y taste to go along with the lemon. Kind of tastes like Tank 7, another Boulevard product.

Mouthfeel - Heavily carbonated, finishes fresh, clean, and smooth. An excellent warm to hot weather brew.

Overall - Certainly not Boulevards best offering, but still a good beer. Its appearance is spectacular, the rest of the beer struggles to keep up with it. I got it more for the bottle and for the sentimental reasons than anything else. Pretty pricey, I doubt anyone outside KC would want to fork over that kind of dough for this brew, but I will.
