Notes / Commercial Description:
The Calling is an undeniable IPA we were driven to make. It's our tribute to like-minded dreamers, adventurous spirits, and glass half-full optimists. It's also our most heavily hopped beer ever, bursting forth with unmistakable tropical fruit and pine hop aromas and flavor supported with a slightly sweet malt character, tapering to a crisp, dry finish. Heed your call and enjoy.

Just slightly hazy and light golden in color with a thick white head. Smells of pineapple immediately then sweet citrus, wow tropical...love it. Taste translation with just enough sweetness to counter the slight bitter finish. Tropical flavors through the middle of this beer. Pretty creamy with just the right amount of carbonation, I'd call it medium. Overall, pretty darn solid !

Hazy golden amber, medium white head, good retention, excellent lacing. Aroma is pine and citrus. Taste is initially sweet malt and fruity hops. Mildly bitter finish. Medium body, nicely carbonated.

Pours a pretty light golden color; head production and retention are fine.

On the nose, citrus, pine, and tropical fruit present a somewhat floral bouquet, but nothing really grabs my attention completely.

The palate carries grainy pale malts and a nice blend of hops similar to the nose, with the accent more on juicy notes than on resin or pine.

This is a DIPA that drinks closer to a single, owing at least partially to the 8.5% ABV. There isn't as much malt presence as in many DIPAs, but on the other hand, it isn't a complete hop bomb either. It occupies a somewhat awkward middle ground, but it's a very drinkable beer.

Presentation: 12 oz bottle stamped "Best by 12 Jan 2017" poured into a pint glass.

Look: Hazy golden yellow with a one finger white head. Good head retention.

Smell: Piney hops up front, citrus in the middle, and finishing with more pine.

Taste: Solid malt base, bright pine notes, and a sharp hop bitterness on the swallow. Slightly unbalanced ratio of hop bitterness to flavor.

Feel: Medium body with moderately high carbonation and dry.

Overall: A pretty decent beer. Would have liked to have had some more hop flavor to round out the bitterness.

Looks, a faint honey amber, light cloudiness, nice. Aroma, faint pineapple,(really). Mouthfeel, unique, tingles the back of my pallate, in a good way. Lacing, like Judge Judy. Taste this too is unique, I liked it, this is a occasional choice. One I will revisit. I liked it.

Very nice balance, very fruity and piney. Smooth mouthfeel, very drinkable. No booziness in tastes even with the high abv. Melon, tropical fruit, some citrus

Poured from 12-ounce bottle into a dimpled mug. Slightly hazy yellowish orange colored body, with a thick, long-lasting white head that leaves some spotty lacing. This is the embodiment of perfect balance. There is a light malt backbone that provides just enough structure for the piney, citrusy, and zesty bitter character of the hops. The finish is crisp and dry, with a touch of bitterness on the tongue. Be warned: the alcohol is extremely well hidden in this dangerously drinkable and delicious beer. Simply outstanding!

Extremely fruity, juicy. Deceptively drinkable, with a very manageable bitterness. Overall, an outstanding beer
