Notes / Commercial Description:
The Calling is an undeniable IPA we were driven to make. It's our tribute to like-minded dreamers, adventurous spirits, and glass half-full optimists. It's also our most heavily hopped beer ever, bursting forth with unmistakable tropical fruit and pine hop aromas and flavor supported with a slightly sweet malt character, tapering to a crisp, dry finish. Heed your call and enjoy.

As an avid DIPA drinker, my personal preference is more bitter. I am looking for the hops flavor. It doesn't have the malt body that some DIPAs have, which is nice. The leaning is more IPA than DIPA, in my opinion..

Amazing ipa with a touch of sweetness. I would say this is one of the best beers i have had. Similar to a 90 minute but Better. I highly reccomend this.

This looks incredible - a nice light orange color with a bit of haziness and plenty of carbonation. The only thing I would prefer on the look would be a little bit more of a head. Get that down and it's a perfect 5 on look. The smell is awesome, very tropical. Grapefruit, mango, peach and pineapple are prominent. On the taste it's much of the same, but it mellows out with a moderately bitter pine and a nice, smooth finish with a perfect balance of light, rich maltiness to round it out. The body is perfect for an IPA, nice and full but not heavy. The alcohol is not noticeable on the taste at all, but it does leave a bit of a warming feeling. It's hard to think of much negative to say about this beer, it delivers on every front. It's packed full of tasty tropical hops, it's full-bodied and malty, and it finishes very smooth without sacrificing the bitterness.

I think this might be the best IPA I've ever had, though my experience is admittedly still limited so I may be overrating it a bit for now. I'll adjust in the future if I need to. But I don't see much reason to think that this isn't one of the best beers I've ever had - I've had 3 bottles now just to be sure, and it's held up every time. I would absolutely love to try this on tap!

Just slightly hazy and light golden in color with a thick white head. Smells of pineapple immediately then sweet citrus, wow tropical...love it. Taste translation with just enough sweetness to counter the slight bitter finish. Tropical flavors through the middle of this beer. Pretty creamy with just the right amount of carbonation, I'd call it medium. Overall, pretty darn solid !

Hazy golden amber, medium white head, good retention, excellent lacing. Aroma is pine and citrus. Taste is initially sweet malt and fruity hops. Mildly bitter finish. Medium body, nicely carbonated.

Pours a pretty light golden color; head production and retention are fine.

On the nose, citrus, pine, and tropical fruit present a somewhat floral bouquet, but nothing really grabs my attention completely.

The palate carries grainy pale malts and a nice blend of hops similar to the nose, with the accent more on juicy notes than on resin or pine.

This is a DIPA that drinks closer to a single, owing at least partially to the 8.5% ABV. There isn't as much malt presence as in many DIPAs, but on the other hand, it isn't a complete hop bomb either. It occupies a somewhat awkward middle ground, but it's a very drinkable beer.

Presentation: 12 oz bottle stamped "Best by 12 Jan 2017" poured into a pint glass.

Look: Hazy golden yellow with a one finger white head. Good head retention.

Smell: Piney hops up front, citrus in the middle, and finishing with more pine.

Taste: Solid malt base, bright pine notes, and a sharp hop bitterness on the swallow. Slightly unbalanced ratio of hop bitterness to flavor.

Feel: Medium body with moderately high carbonation and dry.

Overall: A pretty decent beer. Would have liked to have had some more hop flavor to round out the bitterness.

Looks, a faint honey amber, light cloudiness, nice. Aroma, faint pineapple,(really). Mouthfeel, unique, tingles the back of my pallate, in a good way. Lacing, like Judge Judy. Taste this too is unique, I liked it, this is a occasional choice. One I will revisit. I liked it.
