Poured from a 12oz can with a best by date of 8/24/18; into a tumbler.
Appearance- clear, orangish gold, with lots of bubbles; head is a thin white that leaves little lacing.
Smell - more of a citrus nose than tropical.
Taste - a citrus tartness, where I expected more of a tropical profile (can’t imagine why).
Feel - light, a nice carbonated mouthfeel, but an acidic finish that is a bit off putting.
Overall- certainly not terrible, but don’t think I would enjoy more than one of these.

A very nice summer beer. Good citrus fruit flavors, a slight bitterness to it. Easy drinking with a lower abv. Not huge flavor, very sessionable for sure

A for effort, but fruit added beers wear thin. You can tell if it's good if it gets better as you go, or worse. This one worsens, becoming like too thinly mixed fruit punch-w-eer.
A) Pours into DUVEL tulip from a can with a very nice cooper with a pink sunset shade, and as with all fruit beers, a short-lived and flattish cap, the body is a slightly hazy new penny copper pink, and there's scant lace. A for color (I guess) If you like Pink?!?
S) Too little, too thin. Sweet tropical juice on top of a base of light grains. sugary.
T) Cereal grains, are layered over with fruit juice, grapefruit, raisin, white grape and floral hops. Not bad, but does not grow on you.
F) Thin to med. lots of tickly carbonation, and thankfully, a spicy hop finish.'
A sweet pale, sweetened further by the juice, but saved by the scrubbing finish. All too much like a shanty to me. Try 1.

The Tropical Pale Ale is quite nice. It poured copper but had some floaties. There was white head that left a spotty lace. The scent had some nice orange peel zest. The taste was evenly balanced and very easy to drink. The malt and hops masked the 7+% abv. The mouthfeel was fuller in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a good beer.

nice to see a fruited pale ale that isnt done with blood orange these days! (kidding, but not really). this is a bit different than the collaboration they did awhile back with cigar city, but its in a similar vein. there are bright and fresh grapefruit and passion fruit notes to this, but its not overdone, and for me its still a hoppy beer first, before its a fruity beer. there is a little tang to the passion fruit that i dont think is all the way congruent with the hops though, and thats a distraction from what is quite obviously a delicious new school hop profile, tastes like mosaic leading the charge, but its almost tough to tell where the fruit stops and the hops start, with strong passion fruit, pineapple, mango, white grape, and plum notes to this all over the place. bitterness ramps up as it warms, especially toward the finish, where most of the fruitiness is gone and a more fresh vegetal hop element comes in. its pulpy and feels a little bigger than it need to despite having lively carbonation. its good beer if you get off on this sort of thing, but im not sure how many of these i would want to drink in a sitting. the grapefruit adds an acidity thats just a little too much as well, so its not quite the session beer it probably set out to be, but the flavor profile is interesting and unique, and i enjoyed my can.
