Velvety black and perfectly opaque, this surprisingly smooth, drinkable beer is a delightful harmony of smoky roasted flavors and tangy, coffee-like notes. Available only on tap at fine establishments throughout our distribution region.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.
A: Pours a clear black, that is to say that it is not thick so it seems clearer than it actually is. Pours a one inch muddy sand colored head that leaves a nice streak of lacing on the bubble down that fades into a cap.
S: Smell is decent enough, not really all that exciting, everything that is supposed to be there is there, roasted malts greets the nose with just a hint of floral hoppiness.
T/MF: Good solid roasted malt character, light bodied mouthfeel but still has a good biting malt and hop bitterness that leaves me wanting more and more.
D: Good good and more good, not a demanding beer but it tastes good and is a solidly sessionable beer.

Wish they'd consider a comeback; I miss this one quite a bit.
