12oz bottle bb July 16, 2018 poured into a tulip pint glass at fridge temp 5.8% ABV 30 IBU. The beer pours bright red, brown amber with nice light brown head. The head settles to a film and leaves a little lacing. The aroma is faint with toasted malt and a touch of chocolate. The taste is more toasted malt, a touch of burnt sugar caramel and a nice, clean bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium to thin bodied, adequately carbonated and dry in the finish. Overall, very good. This is my first Irish red ale on BA, but I've had several and this tastes the best to me.

This beer pours a bright red with an average head. The aroma features candied malts, butterscotch, toffee, cinnamon, nutmeg, and green apple. The flavor is light and rich, with notes of toffee, red malt, clay, butterscotch, raw grains, and lipstick. The mouthfeel is medium full with bubbling, foamy carbonation. Overall this is a very tasty and restrained brew, with gorgeous traditional flavors.

Poured into a mug, the appearance was a ruddy semi-dark burnt red color. Quickly dissipating finger’s worth of white foamy head. Mild stringy lacing. The aroma centers around some sweet nuts, caramel tones, light tofffee, some toast. The flavor wraps all of those previously mentioned aromas together. Smooth dry malty sweet aftertaste leading into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Medium carbonation. Malts create a nice smoothness on my tongue. Overall, decent Irish red ale that I could have again.

Can't say I had too many of the style best example I can think of is Great Lakes Conway's

Looks good very dark red brown color clear with a 1/2 inch of tinted froth. Smells of caramel, biscuit malts, dry hops and some tea leaves. Taste is clean with some bitterness, toasted malts, caramel malts and some tea leaves. Body is light to medium and crisp easy to put down.

Overall it's good but I like American red ales a bit more.

Best by 5/5/17. 12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours auburn with a glowing haze; huge creamy light khaki head that slowly falls leaving great thick retention and sticky lacing. Looks great. The aromas are malt forward. Hints of caramel and biscuits. Some toffee and vanilla in the mix. The flavors are crisp. This one has a solid bitterness to it. Some tobacco in the mix. Hints of apple. Malts do their thing. Finishes dry for the most part. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is great. It's light with very active carbonation. It's sharp and fluffy. Very smooth and easy drinking.

This is a very nice Irish red ale. The craftsmanship is impressive. Well done. Enjoyable stuff.

Poured from a chilled 12 oz. brown bottle into a freshly cleansed pint glass. Aroma: slight barley roastiness. Look: dark, dark red with brown and tan clouds of thick, creamy head. Taste: Goodness in a pint full of it. Palate: Dryish. Overall: A very enjoyable, very drinkable, hoist a toast up @ ya red irish ale.

This is a deep reddish-brown color with a light haze and a tall, rocky, cream-colored head. The aroma has caramel and hint of roasted and toasted grains. The taste is slightly sweet, with lots of biscuit, cracker, bread-crust, and grain. Medium body. Light bitterness. The finish has a bit of tartness, and the overall flavor is very rewarding.

I agree with most of the reviews except I would place the sweetness as honey not caramel...

L: Pours a tinted reddish copper with a finger and half tan head. It dissipates slowly leaving plenty of lacing.

S: Slight bit of caramel. Not much aroma here.

T: Nutty, toasted caramel. Very nice.

F: Medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: I haven't had too many of the style, but I really enjoyed this one.

Pours a clear reddish mahogany color. One finger tan head dissipates steadily leaving a thin spotty foam on top of the beer with little to no lacing.

Smell is very mild with some caramel malty notes. Not much else going on in the nose.

Taste has some malt notes, touch of roast, bit of bread. Touch of caramel, toffee, and some yeast notes. Flavor is a bit watery. Some mild bitterness from buttering hops on the back end linger on the tongue.

Feel is very light, pretty smooth, dry finish. Medium carbonation. Its doesn't feel watery as much as it tastes a bit watery.

Overall its an ok red ale. the lack of any aroma and watery flavor is too much to overlook.
