Notes: Sour ale with mixed berries

Pouring a deep purple with electric magenta foam, this brand-new, juicy ale features notes of blueberries and blackberries with a crisp tartness reminiscent of lemonade. A light, spritzy body amplifies the refreshing qualities of this fruited sour and begs for another sip.

Really like this one as a fruit beer it hits all aspects. Smooth easy drinking tart berry goodness with notes of raspberries and blackberries but the second you list "tart" on the can people start comparing it to a gose style beer and tearing it a new one because its not "that sour".

To me this is one of the best fruit beers I had in a while and to see it above the "Above average" score is a real achievement!

Pours a beautiful deep red with a finger of pinkish head that reduces to a cap with solid lacing

The aroma is just incredible, super inviting smells of blackberries, raspberries and light lemon, all quite tart and authentic with some jammy sweetness as well. Very akin to a lambic, with the fruit, mild funk and a light malt bill mingling together

Compared to the aroma, the taste is a bit of a letdown, but certainly not bad at all. The berry mix is first and foremost in the flavor, without any real tartness. Similar to a Flanders red without funk

The feel is again similar to a Flanders, just a bit lighter. Nice carbonation on this one but still feels a bit heavy

A really approachable sour beer, though I wouldn’t really define it as such. I don’t like splitting hairs though, so it doesn’t bother me that they label it as a sour. Incredible overall, I can totally see this as a great party beer, super sessionable and tasty

Poured from a can into a tulip.

Pours a deep magenta with a light pink foamy head that lingers well. Good legs and lacing for a light bodied-offering.

Strong aromas of blackberry, lemon, malic-acid tartness.

The brew has a sweet-tart quality about it. Strong citrus and malic-acid blackberry tartness up front, but decent sweetness to balance it. Hints of blueberry, cranberry, and vanilla.

The brew is medium-light and nearly crisp. Very well carbonated and drinkble.

Does Boulevard make any beers that aren't at least "ok"? This is another solid representation of a style.

Boulevard's Berry Noir is very fruity and tarty. Right off the bat you can smell and taste the Blue and Black berry blend. This 4.2% ABV fruit beer pours a nice red-pink color, a little bit redder and darker than magenta. Very thin to almost no head, and a decent amount of lacing. It's taste is unique, and sort of mysterious at first. You can immediately pick up the taste of Blue and Black berries, followed by a sublte sweetness and strong kick of tart. For being tarty and having a sort of Cranberry like after taste this one form Boulevard is Crisp, enjoyable and surprisingly refreshing. Wether you're new to fruit beers or just aren't the biggest fan, it's definitely worth a try.

12 oz can picked up as part of a mix-6. Split with my wife, poured into snifters. Pours a medium-dark purple/red with a tinted off-white head. Appearance is not as dark as I expected. Aroma and flavor are tart berries with some vanilla and malt. Delicious but again, not a "dark sour" flavor. Overall it's a great beer and I hope to pick up a couple more next time I'm at the store.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, reddish pink color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of raspberry, blueberry and hints of lemon. Sweet berry taste with a tart finish.
