Notes / Commercial Description:
Boulevard Single-Wide I.P.A. is our take on a style that originated in 18th century Great Britain. This American version—inspired by our Smokestack Series Double-Wide I.P.A.—boasts a heady combination of six varieties of hops, some of which were employed for dry-hopping.

I am sure this is not a bad beer. It just tastes very bitter to me- like that old-style white grapefruit juice they used to sell in the little cans - only this is prettier and has fizz.
I like very rich porters and stouts, which are supposedly bitter. They do not taste bitter to me, but this does. Pairing it with various sweet or savory flavors did not help much. Was better out of a glass than the bottle.
I've rated it according to my taste for my future reference, not according to the quality of beer.

Bought a single poured into a pint glass. Nice amber color but with very little head. Smells more like a pale ale than IPA. Tastes like a good pale ale and has very little after taste. Overall good, but more of a pale ale in both IBU and ABV.

355 ml bottle, M and S, Bristol - Pours clear golden with a medium white foamy head. Medium carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma - citrus to the fore - grapefruit, orange/mandarin. Taste - Same as aroma at the front, light malt feel leading to a crisp light bitter finish. Solid APA.

From notes taken 11/27/16:

Orange-amber and semi-opaque, topped with biscuity-tan, foamy, creamy, chunky head of excellent retention with a tight latticework of lace. Aromas of resin, mango, sweet orange, caramel, candied fruit. Tastes like all of this and more, a blend of fruit and caramelized sugar and malt tartness with rind, resin, pine bitterness and spice around the edges, just enough to balance. Surprisingly bready aftertaste, but peppercorn retro-olfaction if you seek it out. Full-bodied, somewhat syrupy but sloshy with fine, abundant, dense carbonation, slightly astringent.
